Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran vokal tradisi Batak Toba andung. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Reeves (dalam Herrington, McKenney, et al, 2007), yang diadaptasi sesuai tujuan penelitian yang terdiri dari empat langkah utama. Penelitian ini dibagi dalam tiga periode, yakni (1)pengumpulan data langsung dari narasumber untuk penyusunan konsep media pembelajaran, (2) pengembangan media pembelajaran, (3) implementasi media pembelajaran untuk menguji efektivitas media yang dikembangkan. Narasumber terdiri dari (1) tiga orang ahli pangandung yang ahli membawakan andung dan banyak tahu tentang andung, (2) dosen ahli di bidang vokal tradisi di Prodi Pendidikan Musik Universitas Negeri Medan (3) serta mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Musik Universitas Negeri Medan sebagai responden. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, implementasi dan tes. Penelitian ini dihasilkan melalui analisis masalah lalu konsep pengembangan sebagai solusi setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan implementasi media pada mahasiswa dan ahli tradisi, melalui refleksi dan penyempurnaan sehingga menghasilkan hasil efektivitas media pembelajaran; This research aims to develop vocal learning media of the Batak Toba tradition called andung. The development model used is the Reeves development model (in Herrington, McKenney, et al, 2007), which was adapted according to the research objectives which consisted of four main steps. This study was divided into three periods, namely (1) collecting data directly from sources for the preparation of the concept of learning media, (2) development of instructional media, (3) implementation of learning media to test the effectiveness of the developed media. The resource persons consisted of (1) three experts of andung called pangandung who were knew a lot about andung, (2) expert lecturers in the field of traditional vocals in the Music Education Study Program in Medan State University (3) and also students of Music Education Study Program in Medan State University as respondents. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, documentation, implementation and tests. This research was produced through problem analysis then the concept of development as a solution after that continued with the implementation of media on students and tradition experts, through reflection and refinement so as to produce the results of the effectiveness of instructional media.
