Abstract
Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya pengaruh citra tubuh terhadap kepercayaan diri remaja, sehingga remaja mampu mencapai tugas-tugas perkembangannya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi pengaruh dari citra tubuh terhadap kepercayaan diri yang ditinjau secara umum, berdasarkan setiap dimensi dari citra tubuh dan kepercayaan diri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bojongsoang Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 sebanyak 229 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari variabel citra tubuh terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa baik itu secara umum, juga berdasarkan dimensi-dimensinya, meskipun hasilnya menunjukan tidak besar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi rekomendasi serta pembuatan program yang menunjang guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam melakukan penanganan terhadap berbagai situasi berkaitan dengan kepercayaan diri siswa yang diakibatkan oleh keadaan citra tubuhnya.;--- This research is based on the importance from the influence of body image on adolescent self-confidence, so that adolescents are able to achieve their developmental tasks. The purpose of the study was to obtain a description of the influence of body image on self-confidence which was reviewed in general, based on each dimension of body image and self-confidence. Research used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this study is 229 students of 11th grade at Bojongsoang 1 Senior High School Academic Year 2017/2018. The results showed that there were influences of body image variables on students' self-confidence both in general, also based on their dimensions, even though the results showed not large. The implications of this study are recommendations for the creation of programs that support guidance and counseling teacher in handling various situations related to students' self-confidence caused by the state of their body image.
