    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh biaya operasional dan profitabilitas pada Bank Umum Swasta Devisa di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2014-2018. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah biaya operasional dan profitabilitas yang diukur dengan ROA. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Data yang dianalisis merupakan data yang diperoleh dari laporan keuangan sebanyak 16 bank umum swasta devisa selama 5 tahun. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan uji koefisien regresi keseluruhan (uji F) dan uji koefisien regresi (uji t). Hasil statistik uji F menunjukkan bahwa biaya operasional berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Hasil statistik uji t menunjukkan bahwa biaya operasional berpengaruh negatif terhadap profitabilitas.;--This research aims to describe the effect of operating cost and profitability on Private Commercial Foreign Exchange Bank in Indonesia Stock Exchange on 2014-2018. Variable in this research are operating cost and profitability that measured by ROA. Research design that used are quantitative research, using descriptive method and verificative. The analyzed data is data that obtained from financial report from 16 private commercial foreign exchange bank in 5 years period. Statistical analysis that used is simple linear regression analysis with the overall regression coefficient test (F test) and the regression coefficient test (t test). The results of the F test statistics shows that operating cost have significant effect on profitability. The results of the t test statistics shows that operating cost have negative effect on profitability.
