Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tentang uji coba sebuah metode belajar menulis latin yang disusun dan dikembangkan berdasarkan implikasi hasil asesmen dari peserta didik Multiple Disabilites With Visual Impairment (MDVI). Metode yang dimaksud adalah metode Template Characters Analysis (TCA), metode ini digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah menulis latin peserta didik MDVI. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitain ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana hasil dari penggunaan metode TCA yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah menulis latin peserta didik MDVI. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena ditemukan peserta didik MDVI yang memiliki potensi dalam menulis latin, akan tetapi hasil tulisan latinnya selalu mengalami kesalahan dalam penulisan ejaan kata, penulisan tanda baca, dan kesalahan dalam penempatan huruf kapital, sehingga membuat tulisannya kurang bermakna. Pengunaan metode TCA ini berfokus untuk mengatasi masalah menulis latin pada tiga indikator, yaitu 1) menulis kata sesuai dengan ejaan, 2) menulis kalimat menggunakan tanda baca yang tepat, 3) menempatkan huruf kapital di awal kalimat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, serta desain penelitian single subject research. Peneliti memfokuskan data peserta didik MDVI sebagai subjek kasus penelitian, dengan mengukur bagaimana pengaruh metode TCA terhadap hasil tulisan latin peserta didik MDVI tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode TCA dapat mengatasi permasalahan menulis latin peserta didik MDVI. Peserta didikk MDVI tersebut mampu menulis kalimat yang sudah ditentukan peneliti pada tiga indikator yaitu 1) dapat menulis kata sesuai dengan ejaan yang tepat, 2) menulis kalimat menggunakan tanda baca yang tepat, 3)menempatkan huruf kapital di awal kalimat. ..... This research is a study of the experiments of Latin writing learning method, which prepared and developed based on the implication of the results of the assessment of children with Multiple Disabilites With Visual Impairment (MDVI). The method in question is the Template Character Analysis (TCA), this method is used to overcome the problems of children latin writing with MDVI. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to find out how the results of using TCA methods are used to resolve the problems of children latin writing with MDVI. This research was conducted because of the researchers found that children with MDVI have a potential in writing latin, however, the ability of his latin writing always have errors in spelling, punctuation, and mistakes in the placement of capitalization, thus make the writing less meaningful. The use of this TCA method focuses on solving the problems of writing latin on three indicators, namely 1) writing words according to spelling, 2) writing sentences using proper punctuation, 3) placing capital alphabet at the beginning of a sentence. This research uses experimental research with quantitative approach, along single subject research (SSR) design. The researcher focuses the Children with MDVI as the research case subject, by measuring how the TCA method influences the results of children with MDVI's latin writing. The results of this study showed that the use of TCA methods can overcome children with MDVI's Latin writing problems. Children with MDVI were able to write sentences that have been determined by researchers on three indicators, namely 1) write the word according to the correct spelling, 2) write the sentence using appropriate punctuation, 3) put the capital letter at the beginning of the sentence.
