Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peningkatan literasi informasi pada materi pencemaran lingkungan dengan menggunakan asesmen berbasis Edmodo. Literasi informasi dalam penelitian ini digambarkan melalui tiga indikator yaitu mengakses sumber informasi secara efektif, menggunakan informasi untuk menangani masalah, dan mengelola aliran informasi dari berbagai sumber. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode One-Group Pretest-Posttest yang melibatkan satu kelompok penelitian. Partisipan penelitian merupakan satu kelas pada kelas X IPA 4 dengan jumlah siswa 26 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari soal pretest-posttest, rangkaian pertanyaan pada tiga buah task beserta rubrik keterampilan abad 21, dan angket respon siswa terkait literasi informasi tentang pencemaran lingkungan. Pada awal penelitian partisipan diberikan pretest, lalu diberikan perlakuan berupa kegiatan asesmen for learning berbasis Edmodo yang meliputi pemberian task kepada siswa, pengerjaan task oleh siswa, serta pemberian umpan balik oleh guru kepada siswa, kemudian pada akhir pembelajaran siswa diberikan posttest literasi informasi terkait materi pencemaran lingkungan. Asesmen for learning berbasis Edmodo dapat meningkatkan dua dari tiga indikator kemampuan literasi informasi yakni kemampuan mengakses sumber informasi dengan N-gain sedang dan kemampuan mengelola aliran informasi dengan N-gain rendah. Kemampuan menggunakan informasi untuk menangani masalah mengalami penurunan namun tidak signifikan. Peserta didik mendapat manfaat dari penggunaan asesmen for learning berbasis Edmodo seperti mudah dalam pengumpulan tugas dan dapat memotivasi untuk mencari artikel terkait pencemaran lingkungan dari beragam sumber informasi. Masih ada peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan untuk mengakses Edmodo karena dibutuhkannya perangkat keras dan koneksi internet yang memadai. ..... This research was aimed to identify the use of Edmodo-based assessment towards the improvement of information literacy skill in environmental pollution subject. In this research, information literacy was identified by three indicators in which accessing the source of information effectively, applying information to solve problem, managing the information stream from variety of information sources. One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was used and only involved one group of participant. The participant of this research was a 10th grade class in a senior high school that had 26 students. Instruments of the research are pretest-posttest, rubric of 21st century skills and task about information literacy towards environmental pollution, and quissionaire. Pretest was given in the beginning of the research followed by the use of Edmodo-based assessment for learning, which was covered by giving task to students, task processing by students, and giving feedback towards the result of students' work, were the treatment of the research that had been done by utilizing Edmodo. In the end of learning, posttest about information literacy among environmental pollution issue was given. Edmodo-based assessment for learning was able to improve two of three indicators information literacy indicators which were ability to access information sources effectively with medium N-gain value and ability to manage information stream from variety of sources with low N-gain value; the ability to apply information for solving problems was found decreased but not significant; students had gained some benefits of Edmodo-based assessment for learning such as simplifying the task collection and motivating students to find environmental pollution articles from various sources; however, some findings were also found such as limitation of some students to access hardware and proper internet connection in their home to access Edmodo.
