Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis literasi lingkungan siswa kelas VII di Subang pada pembelajaran pencemaran lingkungan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas di SMPN 2 Dawuan dan dua kelas di SMPN 1 Blanakan yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah soal pengetahuan, soal sikap terhadap lingkungan, soal keterampilan kognitif, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dan angket respon siswa. Semua data penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan analisis literasi lingkungan menurut McBeth, n-gain, normalitas, homogenitas, Mann Whitney dan uji T melalui SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi lingkungan siswa di daerah pertanian dan pesisir subang sebelum pembelajaran berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan setelah pembelajaran didapatkan bahwa literasi lingkungan siswa berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model problem based learning berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil posttest aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan kognitif serta aspek sikap baik di daerah pertanian dan pesisir dengan taraf signifikansi α=5% sebesar 0,04, 0,003 dan 0,002 pada daerah pertanian, sedangkan 0,04, 0,000 dan 0,001 pada daerah pesisir . Aktivitas belajar siswa dan keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan problem based learning terlaksana dengan sangat baik. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran problem based learning berada pada kategori sangat kuat. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa. ..... This study aims to analyze the environmental literacy of grade VII students in Subang on environmental pollution learning using Problem Based Learning model. The sample consists of two classes in SMPN 2 Dawuan and two classes in SMPN 1 Blanakan selected by purposive sampling. Instruments in this study is a matter of knowledge, a matter of attitudes toward the environment, a matter of cognitive skills, student activity observation sheet, observation sheet implementation of learning process and student response questionnaire. All research data were tested by using environmental literacy analysis according to McBeth, n-gain, normality, homogeneity, Mann Whitney and T test through SPSS 22. The results present that the students' environment literacy in agriculture and coastal areas before learning was in medium category, while after learning it found that the students' environment literacy in the high category. The results of the analysis present that the problem based learning model significantly influences the posttest results in aspects of knowledge and cognitive skills and aspects of attitudes both in agricultural and coastal areas with a significance level of sebesar 0,04, 0,003 and 0,002 in agricultural areas, while 0,04, 0,000 and 0,001 in coastal areas. Student learning activity in problem-based learning is done very well. In addition, students' responses to learning-based learning problems are in very strong categories. It can be concluded that the problem based learning model has a significant effect on improving students' environmental literacy.
