    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan fakta masih rendahnya komunikasi matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model reciprocal teaching berbasis masalah soal terbuka (open-ended) dan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, serta mengetahui sikap siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model reciprocal teaching berbasis masalah soal terbuka (open-ended). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan populasinya yaitu siswa-siswi kelas VII semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Cimahi. Pada penelitian ini diambil dua kelas secara acak sebagai sampel yaitu kelas kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model reciprocal teaching berbasis masalah soal terbuka (open-ended). Data yang diperoleh merupakan hasil dari pretes, postes, angket, dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model reciprocal teaching berbasis masalah soal terbuka (open-ended) lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, serta sikap siswa terhadap model pembelajaran cukup positif.

    Nadia Ivani. (1503679). Application of Reciprocal Teaching Model Based On Open Ended Problems to Enhancement Students’ Mathematical Communication Ability for Junior High School
    The research is based on the importance of the students mathematical communication ability and fact that the students mathematical communication are low. The research aim is to determine weather the enchancement of students’ mathematical communication ability by getting reciprocal teaching model based on open ended problems and students who get conventional learning, and aimed to know students’ attitude toward reciprocal teaching based on open ended problems. The method used on this research was quasi experiment which the populations were 7th grade students of Junior High School in Cimahi. From this research, the researcher ramdomly took two classes as sample there are control class by getting conventional learning and experiment class by getting reciprocal teaching model based on open ended problems. The obtained datas were resulted from pre-test, post-test, questionnaires and observation sheet. The result of this research shows that the enhancement of the students’ mathematical communication ability by getting reciprocal teaching model based on open ended ploblems is better than the students who get conventional learning.
