Abstract

Karakter adalah hal yang sangat penting yang menjadi penentu majunya sebuah peradaban. Peradaban akan jatuh ketika moral memburuk atau masyarakat gagal dalam menanamkan karakter baik kepada generasi berikutnya. Sejatinya karakter dapat dibentuk melalui pendidikan, maka sudah seharusnya kegiatan belajar mengajar terintegrasi dengan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam materi hukum Newton pada mata pelajaran fisika kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah Buku teks Fisika SMA Kelas X yang disusun oleh Reva Yulietta dan Dede Sahidin, yang diterbitkan oleh CV Arya Duta pada tahun 2016, serta rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) mata pelajaran fisika pada pokok bahasan hukum Newton di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi, SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi, SMA Negeri 5 Kota Jambi, SMA Negeri 7 Kota Jambi, dan SMA Negeri 9 Kota Jambi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Lembar identifikasi nilai-nilai karakter, dan Daftar Ceklis komponen RPP berkarakter. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan, data collection, data reduction, display data, dan terakhir tahap penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil eksplorasi, nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam materi hukum Newton pada mata pelajaran fisika kelas X SMA ditemukan: [1] Nilai-nilai karakter dalam buku teks yaitu, religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, gemar membaca, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab; [2] Materi hukum Newton mengandung nilai-nilai karakter religius, tanggung jawab, kerja keras, dan disiplin; [3] Implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam RPP mata pelajaran fisika kelas X SMA di SMA Negeri Kota Jambi belum sepenuhnya mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM). Kata Kunci: Nilai-nilai Karakter, hukum Newton, Fisika SMA ----- Character is a crucial thing that determines the progress of civilization. Civilization will fall when morale deteriorates or society fails to instill good character in the next generation. Indeed character can be formed through education. Thus, teaching and learning activities should be integrated with character education. This study aimed to explore character education contained in Newton’s law material in physics subject of the tenth grade of senior high school. This study used a quantitative approach with content analysis. The data source is Physics test book of the tenth grade of senior high school compiled by Reva Yulietta and Dede Sahidin which is published by CV Arya Duta in 2016, as well as the lesson plan of physics subject on the subject of Newton’s law in Public Senior High School 3 Jambi, Public Senior High School 4 Jambi, Public Senior High School 5 Jambi, Public Senior High School 7 Jambi, and Public Senior High School 9 Jambi. The instrument used is character education identification sheet and the List of Character Lesson Plan Component Checklist. The data analysis technique used Miles data analysis and Huberman with steps, data collection, data reduction, display data, and the last stage of conclusion/verification. Based on the exploration of the character education of Newton's law material in the tenth grade of senior high school, the result showed that: [1] Character values in the textbook are religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, curiosity, love the country, appreciate achievement, friendly/communicative, like to read, social care, and responsibility; [2] Newton’s law material contains religious character values such as discipline, hard work, social care, and responsibility; [3] The implementation of character education in the physic’s lesson plan of the tenth grade of senior high school Jambi has not fully integrated with character education in teaching and learning activities.
