    Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis merupakan salah satu masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP membuat penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis pencapaian dan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS, serta mengetahui respons siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group. Populasi yang diambil merupakan seluruh siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP di Kota Cimahi, Jawa Barat. Sampel yang diambil merupakan dua kelas dari populasi yang memiliki kemampuan relatif sama yaitu satu kelas TSTS (diberikan pembelajaran model TSTS) dan satu kelas konvensional (diberikan pembelajaran model konvensional). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis, observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) pencapaian pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model TSTS lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model konvensional. (2) peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model TSTS lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran model konvensional. (3) siswa memberikan respons
    positif pada pembelajaran dengan model TSTS.

    Mita Mardiana (1501107). Improved Understanding Mathmatical Concept of Junior High School Student by Implementation of Cooperative Learning of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS)
    Understanding mathematical concept ability is one of problems in mathematics learning. The low understanding of Junior High School’s mathematical concepts makes the writer interested in implementing Cooperative Learning of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). The purpose of this research is to analyze accomplishment and understanding mathematical concept of Junior High School student by implementation of cooperative learning of TSTS and to know student’s responses for implementation of cooperative learning of TSTS. The method that used in this research is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research is VIII grade students in one of Junior High school in Cimahi District West Java. The sample is two classes of the population that have relatively same in ability, that are one experiment class (that given TSTS learning model) and one control class (that given conventional learning model). Data collecting by understanding mathematical concept test, observation, questionnaire, and interview. Based on the data analysis we can conclude: (1) accomplishment of understanding mathematical concept of students that got TSTS learning are better than the student that got conventional learning. (2) Improved of understanding mathematical concept of student that got TSTS learning are more higher than the student that got conventional learning. (3) the student give positive responses to the TSTS learning.
