Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi kejuruan dan employability skills terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu explanatory survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI kompetensi keahlian akuntansi di SMK Negeri kota Palembang sebanyak 496 orang siswa, sedangkan yang menjadi sampel sebanyak 221 orang siswa dengan menggunakan rumus slovin serta menggunakan teknik sampling proportional allocation. Teknik pegumpulan data yang digunakan berupa kuesioner dan teknik analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) kompetensi kejuruan berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, 2) employability skills berpengaruh terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, dan 3) kompetensi kejuruan dan employability skills berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diaharapkan dapat membantu semua pihak yang berkepentingan dalam hal ini sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk memperbaiki kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan sehingga lulusannya siap kerja dengan bermodalkan kompetensi kejuruan dan employability skills sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. This study aims to determine the effect of vocational competence and employability skills on student work readiness. The method used is explanatory survey with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class XI accounting skills competency in Palembang State Vocational High School as many as 496 students, while the sample as many as 221 students using the Slovin formula and using proportional allocation sampling technique. The data collection technique used in the form of a questionnaire and data analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study show: 1) vocational competence influences student work readiness, 2) employability skills influence student work readiness, and 3) vocational competency and employability skills have a simultaneous effect on student work readiness. The results of this study are expected to help all interested parties in this matter as a material consideration to improve the quality of education so that graduates are ready to work with vocational competencies and employability skills in accordance with the needs of the industrial world.
