    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan tes diagnostik pilihan ganda dua tingkat pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit hasil pengembangan Santi (2014), terdiri dari 12 butir soal yang telah tervalidasi dan reliabel dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 107 orang. Instrumen yang diaplikasikan pada siswa dengan pembagian kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan nilai ulangan materi kimia sebelumnya. Teridentifikasi 6 miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa kelas X dari 9 konsep materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Miskonsepsi terbesar terdapat pada konsep pengertian elektrolit dengan persentase 57,9%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dapat diketahui siswa kategori tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 27,8% dan 55,6% pada butir soal nomor 3. Serta siswa kategori rendah mengalami miskonsepsi terbesar pada konsep ionisasi senyawa kovalen dengan persentase sebesar 22.2% pada butir soal nomor 11.

    ABSTRACT
    The aim of this research is to determine profile of the senior high school students’ misconceptions on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte. This research is a descriptive research. The instrument that used in this research is two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte as a result of the development that has been done by Santi (2014), which consists of 12 items that have been validation and reliable with the number of participants as many as 107 people. The instrument applied to student in high, middle and low category students based on past subject of chemistry test scores. Identified 6 misconceptions experienced by students of class X from 9 material concepts of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The biggest misconception is the concept of electrolyte with a percentage of 57.9%. Based on the results of the analysis of misconceptions experienced by students in the high, medium, and low categories, it can be seen that the high category students with a percentage of 27.8% and 55.6% in item number 3. And low category students experience the biggest misconceptions in the concept of covalent compound ionization with a percentage of 22.2% in item number 11.
