Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat perilaku prososial pada peserta didik di kelompok anak bungsu dibandingkan kelompok anak sulung. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara empirik perbedaaan perilaku prososial peserta didik berdasarkan urutan kelahiran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparatif yang melibatkan 305 peserta didik dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah angket perilaku prososial, sedangkan data mengenai urutan kelahiran diambil dari lembar identitas angket perilaku prososial. Kecenderungan umum perilaku prososial berada pada kategori Compliace & Concrete, Defined Reinforcement, yang artinya peserta didik menunjukkan perilaku prososial didasarkan atas perintah atau permintaan yang disertai dengan reward dan punishment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara perilaku prososial peserta didik dengan urutan kelahiran pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Cisaga Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 (Probability value 0,00 < α). Temuan tersebut dijadikan dasar untuk menyusun rancangan program bimbingan dan konseling dalam upaya mengembangkan perilaku prososial. Comparison of Prosocial Behavior of Students Based on Birth Order (Comparative Study of Grade VIII Students of Cisaga Middle School 1 Academic Year 2018/2019). This research is motivated by the low level of prosocial behavior in students in the youngest child group compared to the firstborn group. This study aims to describe empirically the differences in prosocial behavior of students based on birth order. The study used a quantitative approach with a comparative method involving 305 students using saturated samples. The measuring instrument used is a prosocial behavior questionnaire, while data on birth order are taken from the identity questionnaire sheets. The general trend of prosocial behavior is in the category of Compliace & Concrete, Defined Reinforcement, which means that students show prosocial behavior based on orders or requests accompanied by reward and punishment. The results showed that there were significant differences in the score of prosocial behavior based on each group in the birth order of student in class VIII Cisaga 1 Middle School Academic Year 2018/2019 (Probability value 0.00 < α). These findings form the basis for drafting a guidance and counseling program in an effort to develop prosocial behavior. Keywords: Prosocial Behavior, Birth Order, Students.
