Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas III di salah satu sekolah dasar di kota Bandung. Hal ini terjadi karena guru masih menggunakan model pembelajaran yang berpusat kepada guru. Maka dari itu, perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar siswa salah satunya dengan menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi yang diimplementasikan melalui 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata kedisiplinan belajar siswa pada setiap siklusnya. Pada hasil pra siklus rata-rata kedisiplinan belajar siswa sebesar 68%, lalu pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 78%, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 85%. Peningkatan rata-rata kedisiplinan belajar siswa dari pra siklus sampai siklus II sebesar 17%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas III sekolah dasar.

The research was motivated by the low discipline of learning in grade 3rd students in on of elementary school in Bandung city. This happens because the teacher still use a teacher-centered learning model. So from that, it is necessary to make efforts to make improve student learning discipline by applying the contextual approach. This study aims to describe the application Of contextual approaches to improve learning discipline in grade 3rd elementary school students. The method that used in this research was Classroom Action Reasearch (CAR) adapted from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection which is implemented through 2 cycles. The subjects of research were 26 students. The results of the study indicate an increase in the average discipline of student learning in each cycle. The pretest result the average student learning discipline is 68%, then in cycle 1 it increases to 78%, and in cycle 2 it increases to 85%. The increases of average student discipline learning from pretest to cycle 2 by 17%. Based on these data it can be concluded that the application of contextual approaches can improve the learning discipline of grade 3rd students in elementary school.
