Abstract
Keterlibatan (engagement) merupakan meta-konstruk yang terdiri dari aspek kognitif, behavioral, dan emosi. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pengamatan terhadap pola belajar siswa yang sangat beragam. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan hanya sebagian peserta didik yang menunjukkan keinginan untuk meraih prestasi dan menjadi unggul. Penelitian mendeskripsikan besaran kontribusi motivasi berprestasi terhadap keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Penelitian dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 45 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 yang terdiri dari 7 kelas sebanyak 135 peserta didik dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Intrumen Motif Berprestasi (IMP) dan instrumen keterlibatan siswa yang diadaptasi dari Student Engagement Instrument (SEI). Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana untuk mengungkap kontribusi motivasi berprestasi terhadap keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kontribusi motivasi berprestasi terhadap keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Rekomendasi penelitian bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling agar dapat merancang layanan bimbingan yang bersifat preventif dan pengembangan untuk mengoptimalkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Keterlibatan siswa, Keterlibatan Perilaku, Keterlibatan Kognitif, Keterlibatan Emosi, Motivasi Berprestasi Engagement is meta-construct which consists of cognitive, behavioral, and emotional aspects. This research is motivated by observing on very diverse learning patterns of students at school. The observation result evidenced that only some students showed a desire to reach achievement and be excellent. The study describes the magnitude contribution of achievement motivation to student engagement. It is conducted by using a quantitative approach and correlational methods. The study was conducted on VIII grade students in SMP Negeri 45 Bandung 2018/2019 academic year which consist of 7 class as much as 135 students by using simple random sampling. The data collection uses Achievement Motives Instrument (IMP) and student engagement instruments adapted from Student Engagement Instrument (SEI). Data analysis is performed by simple linear regression analysis to reveal the contribution of achievement motivation to student engagement in the learning process at school. The results meaning there is a contribution of achievement motivation towards student engagement in the learning process at school. The research recommendation given to the counseling teachers is to design preventive guidance services and development to optimize student engagement in the learning process.
