Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, pertama memberikan gambaran penggunaan e-learning di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), mengukur kesiapan e-learning yang disebut juga dengan E-Learning Readiness (ELR) di sekolah dari aspek kebijakan sekolah, infrastruktur, dan sumber daya manusia. Kedua, memberikan gambaran kesiapan e-learning guru dari aspek kesiapan kompetensi, persepsi dan kesediaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melakukan wawancara dan angket. Responden terdiri dari kepala sekolah/wakil kepala kurikulum, operator e-learning dan guru. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi statistik SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian di dua daerah yaitu provinsi Jawa Barat dan provinsi Riau menunjukkan empat dari lima sekolah dinyatakan siap dalam menggunakan e-learning dengan skor rata-rata 3.69 pada skala Likert 1-5. Skor ELR guru pada aspek kompetensi 3.68 dan pada aspek persepsi 3.88 dinyatakan siap, namun pada aspek kesediaan 3.29 dinyatakan tidak siap karena skor ini berada dibawah skor acuan 3.41. Kesiapan guru dipengaruhi usia, masa kerja, kompetensi, jenis kelamin, dan pengalaman mengikuti pendidikan dan latihan (Diklat) tentang e-learning. Dari data statistik yang diperoleh menunjukkan guru laki-laki lebih siap dari guru perempuan dengan selisih rata-rata 0.15. Guru yang memiliki kompetensi dan pengalaman mengikuti diklat lebih siap dalam menggunakan e-learning.-- This study examined the readiness of vocational teachers in use e-learning in their educational activities. The teachers consist of diverse subject in five vocational school which are three schools from West Java and two schools from Riau. This study evaluate the readiness of school and teacher. The E-Learning Readiness (ELR) of schools were investigated in terms of three aspects: School’s policy of e-learning, infrastructure and human resource/ teacher. The ELR of teacher investigated in terms of three aspects too: ICT competency, perception and willingness. The study was conducted in descriptive method. The data were collected by using a questionnaire, interview, and documentation technique. The findings of the study indicated that four of five schools were ready to implement the e-learning by average score 3.69 in five scale of Likert. The ELR of teacher’s ICT competency score 3.68 and ELR of teacher’s perception score 3.88 which indicate they were ready, but ELR of teacher’s willingness score 3.29 which indicate they were not ready. The ELR of vocational teachers are influenced by age, work experience, ICT competency, gender, education level and training participation.
