Abstract
Skripsi ini berjudul “Penerapan Model Active Learning Tipe How Does It Feel untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di kelas XI IPS 1 SMAN 23 Bandung)”. Keterampilan berbicara sangat penting dimiliki siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran sejarah dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Indikasi tersebut terlihat dari rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa saat presentasi dan sangat pasif saat kegiatan diskusi. Dari keresahan tersebut, maka peneliti merumuskan beberapa permasalahan yang diambil dalam penelitian ini diantaranya: pertama, Bagaimana mengembangkan pembelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan model active learning tipe how does it feel. Kedua, Bagaimana melaksanakan model active learning tipe how does it feel. Ketiga, Bagaimana upaya mengatasi kendala-kendala yang muncul dalam penerapan model active learning tipe how does it feel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas model Dave Ebbut yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, reconnaissance dan refleksi. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, perkembangan siswa dalam mencapai kriteria indikator keterampilan berbicara yang telah ditentukan mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Aspek-aspek yang diteliti dari keterampilan berbicara yaitu berbicara sesuai dengan tema yang ditentukan, menguasai materi pembicaraan, menyusun kalimat dengan efektif, berbicara dengan intonasi dan pelafalan yang baik, menyampaikan informasi dengan lancar dan tidak kaku, dan mampu berinteraksi dengan pendengar. Perolehan skor masing-masing indikator pada setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan yang baik, hal ini menunjukkan keberhasilan dari penerapan model active learning tipe how does it feel untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Dilihat dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan hendaknya model active learning tipe how does it feel senantiasa dijadikan suatu alternatif solusi untuk menghadapi masalah pembelajaran yang ada di kelas, terutama untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. ..... This research is entitled "Implementation of Active Learning Type How Does It Feel Model to Grow Students’ Speaking Skill in Learning History (Class Action Research at XI IPS 1 SMAN 23 Bandung)". Speaking skills in learning history is really important for students to be a good learner in history class. This research was motivated by students’ lack of speaking skills in history class. It could be indicated from students’ lack of speaking skills at presentation and very passive at group discussion. From those issues, the researchers formulated some problems taken in this study which are: first, how to develop history learning by applying active learning type how does it feel model. Second, how to carry out the active learning type how does it feel model. Third, the efforts to overcome the obstacles that arise in the application of active learning type how does it feel model. This study aims to increase speaking skills in history class. This study uses a classroom action research model with Dave Ebbut design consisting of planning, implementation, observation, reconnaissance and reflection. Based on the data analysis, students’ progress in achieving predetermined speaking skills indicator criteria increased in each cycle. The studied aspects of speaking skills are presenting information in an appropriate sequence, topic mastery, speak effectively, using correct pronounciation and grammar, clarity of presentation, and interaction with listener. The scores obtained for each indicator in each cycle experienced a good increase, which shows the success of the application of the active learning type how does it feel model to increase speaking skills. Judging from the results, active learning type how does it feel model should always be used as an alternative solution to deal with the problem of learning in the classroom, particularly regarding speaking skills in history class.
