Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan menulis teks cerpen siswa SMA Kota Bandung. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah guru mengalami keterbatasan merancang model pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential-based learning) bermuatan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D). Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 87 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Sekolah yang dipilih adalah tiga sekolah menengah atas yang berada di Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik studi dokumentasi, observasi, wawancara, angket, tes menulis teks cerpen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif (statistik deskriptif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential-based learning) bermuatan pendidikan karakter efektif digunakan. Hal ini terlihat dari perbedaan nilai prates dan pascates yakni 69.00 menjadi 81.00. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman (experiential-based learning) bermuatan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen. Keberhasilan produk ini dapat dijadikan sebagai model pembelajaran alternatif dalam pembalajaran menulis teks cerpen karena mengaktifkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar dan membantu siswa menulis teks cerpen. One of the contributing factors is that teachers experience limitations in designing effective learning models. This study aims to determine the results of the development of experiential-based learning with character education in learning to write short story texts. The method of this research is development research (R & D). The research subjects consisted of 87 students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The selected schools are three high schools in the city of Bandung. Data collection techniques using documentation study techniques, observation, interviews, questionnaires, short story writing test. The data analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques (descriptive statistics). The results showed that experiential-based learning with character education was effectively used. This can be seen from the difference in the value of pre-test and post-test, namely 69.00 to 81.00. This research produces a product in the form of experiential-based learning with character education in learning to write short story texts. The success of this product can be used as an alternative learning model in short story writing learning because it activates student involvement in the learning process and helps students write short story texts.
