Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kemampuan Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dan self-efficacy siswa yang masih rendah. Mengingat pentingnya kemampuan CPS dan self-efficacy siswa sehingga perlu adanya peningkatan. Objective finding, fact finding, problem finding, idea finding, solution finding, dan acceptance finding merupakan aspek CPS yang sangat perlu untuk dikembangkan. Maka solusi dalam meningkatkan kedua goals tersebut dipilihlah pembelajaran Situation-Based Learning (SBL). Untuk lebih mengetahui pengaruhnya, maka dilakukanlah sebuah penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas V SD se- Kecamatan Sumedang Utara Kabupaten Sumedang. Sementara itu, sampel penelitiannya yaitu siswa SDN Karapyak I, Kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VA sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu soal tes kemampuan CPS, angket self-efficacy, lembar observasi kinerja guru dan aktivitas siswa, serta catatan lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil pembelajaran yang dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran SBL memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan CPS dan self-efficacy siswa. Pembelajaran SBL memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik terhadap kemampuan CPS siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Pembelajaran SBL dan pembelajaran konvensional sama-sama memberikan pengaruh terhadap self-efficacy siswa, akan tetapi tidak dapat dikatakan lebih baik pengaruhnya. Terdapat hubungan positif antara kemampuan CPS dan self-efficacy siswa. Remembering about the important of CPS skill and self-efficacy for students so that it needs to be upgraded. Objective finding, fact finding, problem finding, idea finding, solution finding, and acceptance finding are aspects of CPS that really need to be developed. Then the solution to improve both of those goals chosen by Situation-Based Learning (SBL). To investigate its further effects, then a quasi experimental study with nonequivalent group design is conducted. The population of this research were a whole V grade of elementary school in the Kecamatan Sumedang Utara, Kabupaten Sumedang. Meanwhile, the research samples were students of VB class SDN Karapyak I as the experimental class and VA class as the controlled class. The instruments of this research used CPS skill test, self-efficacy questionnaires, observation sheets of teacher performance and student activities, and field notes. Based on the results of the learning conducted three meetings, the result showed that SBL learning had a positive effect on CPS skill. SBL learning had a positive effect on student‟s self- efficacy. SBL learning is better than conventional learning towards student‟s CPS skill. Both of those learning give the same effect towards student‟s self-efficacy, but it is not better effect. There is a positive relationship between CPS skill and student‟s self-efficacy. Keyword : SBL learning, CPS skill, Self-Efficacy
