Abstract

PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW UNTUK MENIGKATKAN PERCAYA DIRI SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR Oleh Oktafianti Kartika 1503473 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya percaya diri siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini didasari oleh temuan negatif pada saat peneliti melakukan observasi, dimana pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran siswa cenderung malu untuk berbicara di depan kelas, ketika ada materi yang siswa kurang pahami mereka cenderung untuk diam dan tidak ingin bertanya, siswa tidak mau menjawab pertanyaan guru karena takut salah, dan siswa tidak berani tampil di depan kelas untuk mengungkapkan pendapat atau menjelaskan kembali hasil kerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw untuk meningkatkan percaya diri siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 22 orang. Alat pengumpul data pada penelitian ini berupa hasil observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Pengolahan data berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan percaya diri siswa dimana proses pembelajaran lebih aktif, siswa dilatih untuk menguasai materi pelajaran yang dipelajari karena semua siswa diberikan kesempatan untuk menjadi ahli, siswa saling ketergantungan positif, setiap siswa dapat saling mengisi satu sama lain, siswa dilatih untuk dapat berkomunikasi, serta mampu memikul tanggung jawab yang diberikan. Sehingga penelitian ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan percaya diri siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Kata kunci: pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw, percaya diri   THE APPLICATION OF JIGSAW TYPE COOPERATIVE LEARNING TO INCREASE SELF-CONFIDENCE OF THE 4th GRADE STUDENTS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL By Oktafianti Kartika 1503473 ABSTRACT This research is based on the law self-confidence of students in the learning process. This is based on negative findings when the researcher was researched, in the learning process the students were shy to talk in front of the class, when there was lesson the students not really understand they tend to be quiet and didn’t want to ask, they dind’t want to answer teacher’s question because afraid of being wrong, the students afraid to appear in front of the class. This research aims to describe the application of jigsaw type cooperative learning to increase self-confidence of the 4th grade students in elementary school. The method used in this research is the research class action with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart design which consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research is done as much as two cycles. This subject research is the 4th grade students in elementary school amounted 22 people. Data collection tool such as observation, field notes, and documentation. Data processing in the form of qualitative data and quantitative. The results of this research indicate an increase in students' confidence where the learning process is more active, students are trained to master the subject matter being learned because all students are given the opportunity to become experts, students are positively interdependent, each student can complement each other, students are trained to communicate, and be able to assume the responsibilities given. The research findings show that there is an increase of confidence in fourth grade students in elementary school by applying of jigsaw type cooperative learning.
