Abstract
Dalam dunia pendidikan tentu tidak terlepas dari permasalahan dalam pembelajaran, termasuk permasalahan yang terjadi pada mata pelajaran PAI. Tidak jarang saat pembelajaran berlangsung, siswa kehilangan fokus belajar karena tidak antusias saat belajar. Salah satu inovasi dalam proses pembelajaran PAI adalah model problem based learning. Problem based learning merupakan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pembelajaran siswa pada masalah autentik, sehingga siswa dapat menyusun pengetahuannya sendiri dan dapat menumbuhkembangkan keterampilan yang lebih tinggi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap peningkatan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen quasi experimental desaign. Adapun jenis desain eksperimen semu dari penelitian ini yaitu desain nonequivalent control group desain, dimana kelompok ekperimen maupun kelas kontrol tidak dipilih secara random. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa test objektif ranah kognitif dengan bentuk 40 soal pilihan ganda. Analisis data menggunakan normalitas, uji homogenitas, perhitungan gain ternormalisasi, uji t-test terdiri dari uji paired sample test dan uji independent sample test. Hasil pengolahan data dengan independent sample test, data posttest kelas eskperimen dan kelas kontrol, keduanya menunjukkan nilai sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0.05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran problem based learning yang digunakan pada kelas eskperimen, lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti. Kata Kunci : Efektivitas, Model Problem Based Learning, PAI, Pemahaman Siswa The existence of some problems relating to subject mastery within educational context is unavoidable, including in Islamic Studies subject. In some cases, students lose their focus on studying due to the loss of interest. One of the innovations in islamic studies learning process is problem-based learning model. It is a model centering on authenticity so that students themselves are able to construct their own understandings and enhance their skills to their higher level. This study aims at revealing the effectiveness of problem-based learning model implementation in increasing students’ understanding toward islamic studies and manners subjects. The methodology used is quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design as its quasi-experimental design by which control and experimental group are not chosen randomly. The instrument used is cognitive-domain objective test consisting 40 multiple choices. The collected data are analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test consisting of paired sample test and independent sample test. The result from independent sample test and post-test class show the value of the sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 then Ho is rejected Ha is accepted. In conclusion, problem-based learning model implemented in experiment class is more effective in increasing students’ understanding toward islamic studies and manners subjects.
