Abstract
Penelitian ini dilator belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar SD Negeri di Kota Bandung. Hal ini disebabkan karena metode pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru kurang melatih siswa untuk lebih memahami dalam kegiatan membaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dengan penerapan metode SQ3R kelas IV SD Negeri di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmisdan Taggart dilaksanakandalam 3 siklus. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data ini terdiri dari lembar observasi guru dan siswa, hasil tes (LKS dan evaluasi), catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman dari hasil siklus I sebesar 53,12% menjadi 81,25% pada siklus II dan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 93,75 pada siklus III. Peningkatan ini dilihat berdasarkan dari hasil belajar yang siswa peroleh dari total nilai proses (LKS) dan nilai akhir (evaluasi). Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahawa penerapan metode SQ3R dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.;--This study is based on the low ability to read the understanding of 4th grade students of elementary school in Bandung. This because is the method of learning used by teachers is less train students to better understand in reading activities. The purpose of this is to describe the implementation planning and improvement of reading comprehension with SQ3R method. The research method used is a classroom action research Kemmis and Taggart models in three cycles. The partisipants of this study is a 4th grade students in one of elementary school in 2017-2018 with 32 students. This data collection instrument consists of teacher and student observation sheets, test results (LKS and evaluation), field notes, and documentation. Based on this study found that there is an increase in the ability to read the understanding of the first cycle of 53,12% to 81,25% in cycle II and increases by 93,75% in cycle III. This increase is seen based on the learning outcomes that students obtain from the total value of the process (LKS) and the final value (evaluation). Based on research can be concluded that the application of SQ3R method can improve the ability to read the understanding fourth grade students.
