Abstract

Anak tunagrahita sedang dengan inisial AF memiliki masalah motorik halus yang ditunjukkan dengan belum mampu meenggerakkan alat tulis dengan tepat dan belum mampu menggunting dengan lancar. Hal tersebut menjadi alasan bagi peneliti untuk menggunakan permainan edukasi karambol dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus siswa tunagrahita sedang di SLB Negeri Garut Kota. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen Single Subject Research (SSR). Subjek penelitian berjumlah satu anak. Penelitian menggunakan desain A-B-A. Pengambilan data dilakukan sebanyak 18 pertemuan sesi, yang terbagi dalam tiga kondisi yaitu empat sesi pada kondisi baseline-1 (A-1), sepuluh sesi pada kondisi intervensi (B), dan empat sesi pada kondisi baseline-2 (A-2), data hasil penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi, dan diperoleh data yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan motorik yang dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya mean level pada setiap kondisinya, dimana mean level pada kondisi baseline-1 (A-1) adalah 41,11%, intervensi (B) adalah 59,11% dan baseline-2 (A-2) adalah 70,83%. Kesimpulannya adalah permainan edukasi karambol dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus siswa tungrahita sedang kelas empat SDLB yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SLB Negeri Garut Kota ini memiliki implikasi dalam bidang pendidikan sehingga peneliti merekomendasikan permainan edukasi karambol untuk digunakan guru sebagai pilihan kegiatan belajar sambil bermain didalam kelas.;---A mentally retarded child with AF initial had a fine motoric problem where she could not move the stationary properly and could not cut out smoothly. Those reasons become the background for this research to use karambol education game to develop the fine motor skill of moderate mentally retarded students in a special public school in Garut City. This study used quantitative approach with Single Subject Research (SSR) experiment as the method. The subject involved in this research was one child. Moreover, this research used A-B-A design. The data collections were collected through 18 meeting sessions which was divided into three conditions: four sessions for the baseline-1 condition (A-1); ten sessions for the intervention condition (B); and four sessions for the baseline-2 condition (A-2). The data analysis was done based on inside condition analysis and between conditions analyses which was obtained from the data that showed an improvement of motoric skill which can be seen from the improvement of mean level in every condition. The mean level of baseline-1 condition (A-1) was 41,11%, 59,11% for intervention condition (B), and 70,83% for baselin-2 condition (A-2). As the conclusion, it can be said that karambol education game can improve fine motoric skills of moderate mentally retarded students in grade four SDLB which become the research subject. This study, which was conducted in a special public SLB Negeri Garut Kota has an implication in aducation aspect, so that the writer recommends this Karambol Education game for teachers as learning activity choice while playing inside the classroom.
