Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya minat siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PPKn dikarenakan siswa merasa bosan, hal ini tidak terlepas dari peran guru yang mengelola kelas tersebut. Peneliti melihat seorang guru kurang optimal dalam meyajikan dan melakukan belajar mengajar, terlihat dari kesiapan dalam mengajar guru hanya mengacu pada buku teks, tidak memakai media pembelajaran yang berfungsi untuk menarik minat belajar siswa dan terlalu sering menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga membuat siswa merasa bosan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PPKn. Hal tersebut membuat peneliti merasa perlu dilaksanakannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan memahami seberapa besar pengaruh model cooperative learning dalam pembelajaran PPKn terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melaui penyebaran angket kepada siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri se-Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dilapangan dapat ditarik benang merah dari penelitian ini, antara lain pertama, persepsi siswa terhadap model cooperative learning dalam pembelajaran PPKn sudah baik dan sesuai. Kedua, persepsi siwa terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn sudah baik. Ketiga, terdapat pengaruh signifikan kategori sedang model cooperative learning terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMP Negeri se-Kota Bandung. Kata Kunci: Cooperative Learning, Motivasi Belajar, Siswa. This research is motivated by the lack of interest of students in participating in Civics learning because students feel bored, this is inseparable from the role of the teacher who manages the class. The researcher sees that a teacher is not optimal in presenting and conducting teaching and learning, as seen from the readiness in teaching the teacher only refers to textbooks, not using learning media that function to attract students' learning interest and too often use the lecture method so that students feel bored in Civics learning. This makes researchers feel the need to carry out this research to find out and understand how much influence the cooperative learning model in Civics learning has on student learning motivation. The research method used is the survey method with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires to students. The subjects in this study were eighth grade students of State Middle Schools in Bandung. Based on the findings in the field, we can draw the red thread from this study, among others, first, the students' perceptions of cooperative learning models in Civics learning are good and appropriate. Second, students' perceptions of student learning motivation in Civics learning are good. Third, there is a significant influence on the category of cooperative learning model on students' learning motivation in State Middle Schools in Bandung City.
