Abstract

Latar Belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya prestasi kerja karyawan divisi pemasaran PT Axiata kota bandung, hal tersebut ditandai dari menurunya pencapaian target penjualan. Fenomena tersebut harus segera ditangani karena karyawan merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menentukan keberhasilan suatu perusahaan. Kompetensi karyawan merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan prestasi kerja karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: memperoleh temuan kompetensi karyawan pada PT. Axiata Bandung, memperoleh temuan prestasi kerja karyawan PT. Axiata Bandung, memperoleh temuan pengaruh kompetensi karyawan dengan prestasi kerja karyawan PT. Axiata Bandung. Objek penelitian ini adalah karyawan divisi pemasaran PT Axiata kota Bandung ,Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi karyawan sedangkan variabel tidak bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah prestasi kerja karyawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif dan verifikatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah explanatory survey. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Product Moment dengan alat bantu software computer SPSS 21.0. Dari hasil penelitian terhadap pengujian hipotesis dapat diketahui sebagai berikut: kompetensi karyawan memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap prestasi kerja karyawan dengan tingkat korelasi sangat kuat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini direkomendasikan sebagai dasar untuk dilakukannya penelitian lain mengenai kompetensi karyawan dan karaktersitik pekerjaan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan indikator dan objek yang berbeda. ---- This study is designed on the basis of employee’s low performance on marketing division in PT Axiata Bandung. This case was marked by the decrease of sales target. Those phenomena should be immediately handled due to the fact that employee is one of company’s triumph determinants. Employees’ competence can be put as one of factors to increase employees’ performance. The purposes of this research are to obtain findings in the employees’ competence, to obtain findings in the employees’ performance, and to obtain findings in the influence of employees’ competence to employees’ performance. The object of this research was employees on marketing division of PT Axiata kota Bandung. The independent variable in this research was employees’ competence and the dependent variable was employees’ performance. This research used a descriptive and verification analysis and also this research used explanatory survey method. The analysis in this research used Product Moment by SPSS 21.0 as a tool. The result of this research which is supposed to test the hypothesis, reveals that employees’ competency has a positive influence concerning employees’ performance in a very strong correlation. According to the result of this research, the writer expect this research to be a basic research done in other researchs regarding the influence of employees’ competence to the employees’ performance with different indicator and object.
