Abstract

Video Art merupakan salah satu elemen dari seni media baru yang menggunakan media video untuk menciptakan suatu karya seni, dan seni media baru cenderung lebih banyak mengolah kemampuan logika (fikir). Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, seni media baru juga berkembang dengan dinamis dan cepat begitupun dengan video art. Penulis memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan gagasan, hasil jadi karya serta visualisai karya dari video art. Penulis mencoba mengangkat permasalahan objek vila Isola melalui karya video art dengan menggunakan teknik holographic. Teknik holographic telah ditemukan sekitar abad ke-18, oleh seorang professor bernama John Henry Pepper dan teknik tersebut dikenal dengan namannya Pepper Ghost atau lebih sering kita dengar sebagai holographic. Teknik tersebut memungkinkan gambaran dari sebuah objek tampak seperti melayang di udara serta tembus pandang, seperti pada film science fiction, atau yang sering kita sebut hologram tiga dimensi. Penulis mengembangkan teknik tersebut menjadi lebih sederhana namun dengan pengembangan yang lebih variatif. Pemilihan objek gedung isola penulis pilih karena mempunyai nilai sejarah yang cukup penting khususnya bagi dunia pendidikan dan bag penulis sendiri dimana keseharian penulis mengeyam pendidikan di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penulis mengaplikasikan serta mengembangkan teknik holographic dengan objek gedung isola yang dengan editing deformasi bentuk, warna serta konten animasi menjadi satu kesatuan karya video art. Dengan adanya karya ini penulis harap akan menumbuhkan keragaman serta perkembangan seni rupa sekarang yang mengangkat seni media baru. Selain itu diharapkan dapat memperkaya wawasan tentang seni rupa serta menumbuhkan sikap apresiasi seni.;---Video Art is one of the elements of new media art that uses video media to create a work of art, and new media arts tend to process logic skills more (fikir). Along with technological developments, new media art also develops dynamically and quickly as well as with video art. The author has a goal to develop ideas, finished work and visualization works of video art. The author tries to raise the problem of the Isola villa object through video art work by using holographic technique. Holographic techniques have been discovered around the 18th century, by a professor named John Henry Pepper and the technique is known by his time Pepper Ghost or more often we hear as holographic. The technique allows the image of an object to appear as floating in the air as well as transparent, like in a science fiction movie, or what we often call a three-dimensional hologram. The author developed the technique to be simpler but with a more varied development. Selection object isola writer choose because it has a historical value that is important, especially for the world of education and for the authors themselves in which everyday writers are educated at the University of Education Indonesia. The writer applies and develops holographic technique with object of isola building with editing deformation of shape, color and animation content into one unity of video art work. With this work the author hopes to cultivate the diversity as well as the development of fine art now that lifted the art of new media. In addition it is expected to enrich the insight about art and foster an attitude of art appreciation.
