Abstract
Setiap siswa pada prinsipnya berhak memperoleh kesempatan untuk meningkatkan potensi yang dimilikinya. Namun pada kondisi objektif tampak jelas bahwa siswa memiliki perbedaan dalam kemampuan inteletual, kemampuan fisik, latar belakang keluarga, kebiasaan dan pendekatan belajar yang menyebabkan perbedaan dalam mengikuti proses belajar. Hal ini ditunjukkan subjek penelitian di SLB Negeri Bandung Barat yang merupakan anak tunagrahita sedang. Anak tunagrahita sedang memiliki kesulitan dalam aspek konseptual, sosial dan keterampilan praktis. Dalam hal ini, subjek memiliki kesulitan pada aspek keterampilan praktis bina diri. Subjek memiliki kondisi motorik yang selalu gemetar saat memegang sesuatu, dan sulit berkonsentrasi membuat anak kesulitan mengenakan pakaian berkancing secara mandiri. Akan tetapi, sudah selayaknya kita berupaya untuk memberikan layanan bagi siswa yang mampu menunjang kebutuhan belajarnya dalam mengenakan pakaian berkancing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media mozaik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengenakan pakaian anak tunagrahita sedang. Mozaik merupakan media belajar yang menggunakan potongan kertas yang dilem kemudian diletakkan pada sebuah pola dalam bidang datar. Mozaik dianggap memiliki kelebihan sebagai media yang mampu menunjang kebutuhan belajar siswa dalam hal melatih kemampuan fisik tangan yang bergetar, latihan konsentrasi, latihan koordinasi mata-tangan, dan media belajar untuk mendapatkan pengalaman berulang sehingga diharapkan mampu mengenakan pakaian berkancing secara mandiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen subjek tunggal atau single subject research. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain A-B-A yaitu memiliki tiga fase Baseline-1, Intervensi, dan Baseline-2. Saat baseline-1 menunjukkan nilai mean level sebesar 23,80%, intervensi mean levelnya sebesar 26,80% dan saat baseline-2 sebesar 29,52%. Peningkatan mean level dari baseline-1 ke intervensi sebesar 3%, sedangkan dari intervensi ke baseline-2 sebesar 2,72%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media mozaik dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengenakan pakaian pada anak tunagrahita sedang.;---Every student in principle is entitled to have opportunities to increase their potential. However, in the objective conditions that students have differences in intellectual abilities, physical abilities, family background, habits and learning approaches that lead to differences in learning. This is indicated by the subject of research at SLB Negeri Bandung Barat which is a child with moderate intellectual disability. The childrens with intellectual disability have deficit of conceptual, social and domain practical. In this research subject hasn’t practical ability in activity of daily living. He has the motor condition that always trembles when holding something, and difficulty concentrating to make the difficulty in wearing a self-clotched buttonsuit. However, we should try to provide services for students who are able to support their learning needs in wearing buttoned clothes. The aim of the research is how to implementation of mosaic media in increasing skill of wearing buttoned clothes on children with moderate intellectual disability. Mosaic is a learning medium that uses glued pieces of paper and then placed on a pattern in the plane. Mosaic is considered to have advantages as a semi-abstract media that is able to support students' learning needs in terms of exercising the physical ability of vibrating hands, eye-hand coordination exercises, and the media to learn repeated experience so that it is expected to be able to wear buttoned clothes independently. Method of the research used was single subject research (SSR). The research design used is A-B-A design that has three phases of Baseline-1, Intervention, and Baseline-2. When baseline-1 shows that the mean level is 23,80%, intervention is 26,80%, and baseline-2 is 29,52%. The increase in mean level from baseline-1 to intervention was 3%, and from intervention to baseline-2 was 2,72%. Result of the research showed that by using mosaic media was able to increase skill of wearing buttoned clothes on children with moderate intellectual disability.
