Abstract

dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang belajar dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Mood-Understand-Recall-Digest-Expand-Review (MURDER) dan siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional, baik secara keseluruhan maupun berdasarkan kategori Pengetahuan Awal Matematis (PAM) siswa (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah), dan mengetahui sikap siswa setelah belajar dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe MURDER. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment terdiri dari kelas eksperimen yang belajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe MURDER dan kelompok kontrol yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VIII SMP Nusantara Raya Bandung dengan sampel dipilih dua kelas secara acak dari empat kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes Pengetahuan Awal Matematis (PAM); tes pretes dan postes pada kemampuan berpikir kritis maupun pemecahan masalah matematis; dan angket sikap. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap pretest, rataan gain dua kelas sampel berdasarkan keseluruhan maupun PAM, dan angket siswa. Analisis data pretes menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney, sedangkan rataan gain menggunakan Anova dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis maupun pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol, sedangkan tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas sampel berdasarkan kategori pengetahuan awal matematika siswa dan sikap siswa setelah belajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe MURDER mendapatkan sikap positif. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran kooperatif, Mood-Understand-Recall-Digest-Expand-Review, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, sikap siswa. This study aims to examine the enhancement of critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving of students with learning Cooperative Learning Model Type of Mood - Understand - Recall - Digest - Expand -Review ( MURDER ) and the students who studied with conventional learning , both overall and by category Knowledge Mathematically early ( PAM ) students ( high , medium , and low ) , and the attitude of students after studying the Cooperative Learning Model MURDER type . The study design was a quasi experiment consists of classroom learning experiments with MURDER type of cooperative learning and group learning control with conventional learning . The research was conducted at the eighth grade junior Nusantara Raya Bandung with two classes of samples selected at random from the four classes . The instrument used was Early Mathematical Knowledge test ( PAM ) ; tests pretest and posttest on critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving , and attitude questionnaires . Data analysis was conducted on the pretest , the average gain of two classes based on the entire sample and PAM , and student questionnaires . Pretest data analysis using the Mann - Whitney test , while the average gain using ANOVA two lanes . The results showed that an increase in the ability to think critically and grade students' mathematical problem solving experiment better than the control class , whereas there was no significant difference in improvement between the two classes of samples based on the category knowledge and attitudes of students beginning math students after studying the type of cooperative learning MURDER get attitude positive.
