Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan serta menguji kelayakan IMPA pada topik proses penglihatan manusia sebagai media pembelajaran IPA; (2) mengetahui efektivitas IMPA yang dikembangkan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif; dan (3) mengetahui efektivitas IMPA yang dikembangkan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang terdiri atas empat tahapan, yakni: analisis kebutuhan, perancangan model multimedia, pengembangan multimedia, dan evaluasi multimedia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) IMPA yang dikembangkan pada topik proses penglihatan manusia, KD 3.12 untuk SMP/MTs kelas VIII semester genap, layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA dengan kategori sangat baik; (2) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara rerata skor N-gain hasil belajar kognitif kelompok IMPA (x ̅ = 0,71) dan rerata skor N-gain hasil belajar kognitif kelompok MMI (x ̅ = 0,64), t(53) = 4,125, p < 0,05 sehingga dinyatakan IMPA lebih efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dibandingkan dengan multimedia biasa; (3) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara rerata skor N-gain keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelompok IMPA (x ̅ = 0,64) dan rerata skor N-gain keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelompok MMI (x ̅ = 0,49), t(53) = 5,765, p < 0.05, sehingga dinyatakan IMPA lebih efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dibandingkan dengan multimedia biasa.---- This study was conducted to: (1) develop and find out the feasibility of Human Vision IMPA as a science learning medium; (2) find out the effectiveness of IMPA on students’ cognitive learning result enhancement; (3) find out the effectiveness of IMPA on improvement of students’ creative thinking skill. This study used research and development method consisted of four syntaxes, namely: need analysis, multimedia model design, multimedia development, and evaluation. The results showed that: (1) Human Vision IMPA has been developed then is feasible to be a science learning medium for grade VIII students with very good category.; (2) There was a significant different between mean score of cognitive learning result gain of IMPA group (x ̅ = 0,71) and that of MMI group, x ̅ = 0,64), t(53) = 4,125, p < 0,05, indicating that IMPA is more effective on enhancing students cognitive learning result compared to MMI; (3) There was a significant different between mean score of creative thinking skill gain of IMPA group (x ̅ = 0,64) and that of control group (x ̅ = 0,49), t(53) = 5,765, p < 0.05, indicating that IMPA is more effective for enhancing students creative thinking skill compared to MMI.
