Abstract

Mobile game memiliki sesuatu yang dapat mendorong peningkatan aktivitas serta motivasi dalam mengadaptasi cara belajar yang menyenangkan melalui permainan. Mobile game yang dikembangkan ini bernama Culrun yang merupakan singkatan dari Cultural Running. Game berkonsep edukasi ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan kembali kebudayaan Indonesia pada remaja dan untuk memudahkan proses penelitian, pengembangan game ini akan di fokuskan pada stage awal game yang bertemakan Jawa Barat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Design and Development (D&D). Penelitian ini memaparkan proses desain dan pengembangan mobile game Cultural Running. Secara lebih khusus yaitu untuk mengetahui proses desain mobile game Cultural Running dengan materi kebudayaan, proses pengembangan mobile game Cultural Running dalam mengenalkan kembali kebudayaan Indonesia, penilaian para ahli mengenai konten dan media mobile game Cultural Running, serta respons mahasiswa terhadap mobile game Cultural Running. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan sampel mahasiswa sebagai usia remaja akhir. Adapun sampel diambil melalui teknik Simple random sampling. Secara umum, hasil penelitian menghasilkan desain mobile game Cultural Running yang berisikan konten kebudayaan yang dibuat dengan model flat design 2D yang membuat konten lebih moderen dan dinamis, serta memiliki struktur pelevelan dari tingkat kesulitan yang paling rendah hingga semakin sulit setiap tingkatan level. Pengembangan mobile game ‘Culrun’ merujuk pada model pengembangan Waterfall menurut Pressman (2010) yaitu Communication, planning, modelling, construction, deployment, dan pengalaman ahli yang didapat dari studi literatur, yang kemudian menghasilkan game Cultural Running yang dapat diakses melalui multi platform devices, mulai dari android, iOS hingga melalui laptop. Permainan mobile ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif baik dari para ahli maupun mahasiswa yaitu sangat baik sehingga Mobile Game Cultural Running siap untuk di publikasi secara luas.---Mobile games have something that can encourage increased activity and motivation in adapting a fun way of learning through the game. This developed mobile game called Culrun which stands for Cultural Running. This educational concept game aims to reinvent Indonesian culture in adolescents and to facilitate the research process, the development of this game will be focused on the early stage of the game with the theme of West Java. The research design used in this research is Design and Development (D & D). This research will explain the design and development process of mobile game Cultural Running. More specifically to know the process of mobile game design Cultural Running with cultural material, Cultural Running mobile game development process in re-introducing Indonesian culture, expert assessment about mobile games and Cultural Running media, and student's response to mobile game Cultural Running. Instruments in this study is a questionnaire. In this study the researchers used the sample of students as late adolescence. The samples were taken by Simple random sampling technique. In general, the results of the study resulted in the design of the Cultural Running mobile game containing cultural content created with a 2D flat design model that makes the content more modern and dynamic, and has the leveling structure of the lowest difficulty levels to the more difficult for each level. The development of mobile games 'Culrun' refers to the development model of Waterfall according to Pressman (2010) that is Communication, planning, modeling, construction, deployment, and experience of the expert gained from literature study, which then produce game Cultural Running which can be accessed through multi platform devices, from android, iOS to laptop. This mobile game gets a positive response from both the experts and the students that is so good that Mobile Game Cultural Running is ready for publication extensively.
