Abstract

Pengalaman lingkungan formal dan non-formal memberikan kontribusi dalam peningkatan literasi lingkungan. Dengan mengetahui literasi lingkungan masyarakat yang sebagian besar memiliki anak usia pelajar, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi dan literasi lingkungan, serta mengungkap kearifan lokal masyarakat pesisir Pahawang. Merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penentuan populasi dan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Pahawang, selama 5 minggu. Untuk mengukur persepsi dan literasi digunakan instrumen skala sikap dan soal yang telah di validasi menggunakan software ANATES. Berdasarkan hasil, persepsi masyarakat terkait fungsi dan kondisi lingkungan, terkait pengelolaan hutan dan mangrove, dan terkait tindakan pro-lingkungan adalah positif. Literasi lingkungan masyarakat berada dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi, terdapat tiga tradisi masyarakat dalam pelestarian lingkungan, yaitu ruwat laut, hulu tulung dan nugal. Ketiga tradisi tersebut merupakan upaya masyarakat dalam melestarikan lingkungan. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis kebutuhan dan analisis kurikulum yang diintergrasikan sesuai dengan kearifan lokal masyarakat pesisir Pahawang untuk meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa. Kearifan lokal dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif sumber belajar biologi terutama dalam kompetensi dasar tentang lingkungan. Formal and non-formal environmental experience contributed to the improvement of literacy environment. By knowing the literacy environment in the society which mostly have childrens at student age, is expected to increase student's literacy environment. The aimed of this study were to identify the perception and literacy environment, also showing a local wisdom of coastal society at Pahawang Beach. This study was a qualitative descriptive study. Purpose sampling design was used in this study to determine the population and sample. The study was conducted at Pahawang village, for 5 weeks. The scale of attitudes and problems that have been validated using ANATES software was used in this study to measure the perception and literacy instrument. The result showed that there were a positive result based on the society perception that related to the environment function and condition, forest and mangrove management, and another relation of pro-enviromental action. Another result showed a midle category on the result of literacy environment in the society. Based on the results of identification, there were three traditions on the coastal society in environmental conservation, namely ruwat laut, hulu tulung and nugal. Those traditions were an action on coastal society to preserve the environment. Furthermore, the needs analysis and curriculum analysis that is integrated in accordance with the local wisdom of the coastal society at Pahawang beach to improve the students' environmental literacy was conducted in this study. The local wisdom could be used as an alternative source of biology learning, especially in basic the competence on the environment.----
