    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena kesulitan remaja dalam melakukan penyesuaian diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil penyesuaian diri peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 22 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode deskriptif dengan populasi sebanyak 338 orang dan sampel menggunakan sejumlah populasi yaitu sebanyak 338 orang melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran instrumen berupa angket mengenai penyesuaian diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyesuaian diri peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 22 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 berada pada kategori sedang. Tindak lanjut penelitian berupa rancangan layanan bimbingan klasikal untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri peserta didik.---The background for this study is the phenomena regarding adolescent difficultly to do self-adjusment. The aims of this study are to determine the profile of self-adjustment of IXth Grade Students in SMP Negeri 22 Bandung Academic Year 2017/2018. This study using a quantitive approach and descriptive method with the number of population and sample are 338 peoples. The data was collected through questionnaire instruments about self-adjustment. The results showed that self-adjustment of IXth Grade Students in SMP Negeri 22 Bandung Academic Year 2017/2018 is in average category. As a follow-up of this studies, there is the design of classical guidance to increase student’s self-adjustment.
