Abstract
Penerapan Model Discovery Learning pada penelitian ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Dasar-dasar Konstruksi dan Teknik Pengukuran Tanah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran umum tentang pelaksanaan pembelajaran Dasar-dasar Konstruksi dan Teknik Pengukuran Tanah dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning, hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model Discovery Learning, dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan bentuk pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X DPIB di SMK Negeri 2 Garut. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes dan instrumen observasi. Hasil dari lembar observasi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning telah dilaksanakan dengan ketercapaian penerapan model sangat baik. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang terjadi pada kelas eksperimen disebabkan oleh adanya penggunaan model Discovery Learning yang dilakukan oleh pendidik selama pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar.---The implementation of Discovery Learning Model in this study is expected to improve student learning outcomes on the subjects of Basic Construction and Soil Measurement Technique. The purpose of this study is to find out the general description of the implementation of learning Basic Construction and Soil Measurement Technique using Discovery Learning model, student learning outcomes after using the model Discovery Learning, and improving student learning outcomes by using the model Discovery Learning. The research method used is quantitative method with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all students of class X DPIB in SMK Negeri 2 Garut. The sampling in this research using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used in this research are test instrument and observation instrument. The result of the observation sheet shows that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model has been implemented with the achievement of the model very well. Based on the data analysis, the improvement of learning outcomes in the experimental class is greater than the control class. It is concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes that occurred in the experimental class caused by the use of Discovery Learning model conducted by educators during the implementation of teaching and learning activities.
