Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tidak adanya perhatian khusus terhadap masalah yang timbul pada fasilitas sarana dan prasarana sekolah lama ketika sarana dan prasarana yang baru akan dibangun. Masalah timbul terhadap Gedung E, khususnya pada ruang gambar manual Teknik Gambar Bangunan. Peneliti melihat beberapa bagian ruang silau sementara bagian lain terlalu gelap sehingga menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan visual. Peneliti menduga berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas siswa yang terlihat pada keterlambatan siswa dalam mengumpulkan tugas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencahayaan dan kesesuaiannya dengan standar serta kenyamanan visual dilihat dari persepsi siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah ruang gambar manual dan persepsi siswa terhadap kenyamanan visual. Sampel dari Penelitian ini yaitu siswa progam keahlian Teknik Gambar Bangunan SMK Negeri 5 Bandung yang berjumlah 72 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuisioner dan observasi langsung. Berdasarkan hasil Penelitian rata-rata tingkat pencahayaan pada ruang gambar 1 adalah 543.22 lux dan rata-rata tingkat pencahayaan pada ruang gambar 2 adalah 402.47 Lux atau berada di bawah standar yang ada untuk ruang gambar manual yaitu 750 lux dan persepsi siswa terhadap kenyamanan visual menyatakan 78% nyaman dan 22% tidak nyaman. Dari 78% siswa siswa yang merasa nyaman 61% berasal dari indikator pencahayaan dan 39% dari indikator penglihatan. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa tingkat kenyamanan berada di bawah nilai standar yang ditetapkan sekalipun demikian sebagian besar siswa merasa nyaman secara visual. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pembiasaan mata ketika menyerap cahaya dalam gelap sehingga menimbulkan perasaan nyaman.---This research was conducted due to the absence of special attention to the problems that arose in the old school facilities and infrastructure when new facilities and infrastructure will be built. The problem was found in Building E, especially in the manual drawing space of Architectural Engineering. It is found that the space was dazzled and dark which caused the students felt visually uncomfortable. It was assumed that, this condition affected the student's productivity, indicated by the students’ delay in collecting tasks. This research was aimed to determine the level of lighting’s conformity to the existing standard and visual amenity from the students' perceptions. This research used descriptive method with quantitative approach, which focused on the manual drawing space and the student’s perception of visual amenity as the objects of the research. 72 students of Architectural Engineering in SMK Negeri 5 Bandung were volunteered to be the sample of the research. The data were collected through questionnaire and direct observation. The results of the study showed that the average lighting level in the manual drawing space 1 was 543.22 Lux and the average lighting level in image space 2 was 402.47 Lux or below the standard for the manual drawing space of 750 Lux and the students' perceptions of visual amenity showed that 78 % felt comfortable and 22% felt uncomfortable. From the total amount of 78%, 61% were based on lighting indicators and 39% were based on vision indicators. It can be concluded that the lighting level was below the existing standard, however the students still felt visually comfortable, which was caused by the eyes’ adaptation in light absorption in the low light space.
