Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya siswa SDN Lemur Muncang yang diduga mengalami kegagalan dalam belajar, kondisi tersebut mengakibatkan nilai yang diperoleh anak selalu berada di bawah KKM (Kriteria Ketentuan Minimal). Untuk mengetahui hambatan siswa yang diduga mengalami kegagalan dalam akademik, maka diperlukan suatu data yang valid. Data tersebut dapat diperoleh hanya dengan instrumen asesmen. Instrumen yang dikembangkan harus sesuai dengan kebutuhan data tersebut, oleh sebab itu peneliti mengembangkan instrumen asesmen perkembangan kognitif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tiga tahap penelitian yang bersifat hirarki. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dari 42 siswa yang mengikuti proses asesmen, terjaring 8 orang siswa yang diduga mengalami hambatan perkembangan kognitif, namun peneliti melakukan tahap konfirmasi untuk memastikan apakah data yang telah diperoleh benar – benar valid, setalah melakukan tahap konfirmasi, maka terjaring kembali 1 orang anak dan ke 7 anak yang sebelumnya terjaring dinyatakan selesai. Hasil dari penelitian, instrumen asesmen perkembangan kognitif tahap operasional konkret fungsional dalam mengasesmen kemampuan potensi kognitif anak. -----This research is based on the existence of students at SDN Lemur Muncang which is allegedly experiencing failure in learning, the condition resulted in the value obtained by the child always under KKM (Kriteria Ketentuan Minimal). To know the obstacles of students suspected of failure in academic, then required a valid data. The data can be obtained only with the assessment instrument. The developed instrument must be in accordance with the needs of the data, therefore the researcher develops the assessment instrument of cognitive development. This study used a qualitative approach with three stages of research that is hierarchical. Based on the results of the study, of 42 students followed the assessment process, there are 8 students who allegedly experiencing barriers to cognitive development, but the researchers conducted a confirmation stage to ascertain whether the data have been obtained completely valid, after doing the confirmation phase, found one of person from 7 children who previously netted otherwise completed. The results of the study, the assessment instrument of cognitive development of functional concrete operational stage in assessing the ability cognitive potential of children.
