Abstract

This research was conducted regarding the low ability to listen and rewrite the folklore. This is demonstrated by the results of pretrial skills listening and rewriting folklore. Therefore, the researchers tried to use a model of paired story audio-visual animation media. This study aims to determine the effect of model of paired story audio visual media animation assisted on the ability to listen and rewrite the folklore. Subjects in this study consisted of 67 students divided into 2 groups, namely 35 students of experimental class and 30 students of control class. The research design in this research is nonequivalent control group design. Instruments used are tests of listening ability and rewriting, and observation sheet of learning activities. The result of the research : (1) before the treatment, learning listening to folklore tends to be teacher centered, and after the treatment of learning listening is student centered (2) before the treatment, learning to the folklore, the learning tends to be teacher centered, and after the treatment is done learning listening student Centered, (3) there is a difference of listening ability and rewriting folklore between students who get the model of paired story study assisted by audio visual media, (4) there is influence of paired story model which is significant to the ability of menimim and rewrite the folklore Proved the value of significance with the test results of average difference (T-Test) of 0.000. The n-gain result of listening to the folklore of 0.55 is in the medium category, while the n-gain ability to rewrite the folklore of 0.68 is in the medium category.---- Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan menyimak dan menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh hasil prates kemampuan menyimak dan menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mencoba menerapkan model Cerita Berpasangan berbantuan media animasi audio visual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Cerita Berpasangan berbantuan media animasi audio visual terhadap kemampuan menyimak dan menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 67 siswa yang terbagi dalam 2 kelompok yaitu 35 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah nonequivalent control group design. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan menyimak dan menuliskan kembali, serta lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) sebelum perlakuan, pembelajaran menyimak cerita rakyat cenderung bersifat teacher centered, dan setelah diadakan perlakuan pembelajaran menyimak bersifat student centered (2) sebelum perlakuan, pembelajaran menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat, pembelajaran cenderung bersifat teacher centered, dan setelah diadakan perlakuan pembelajaran menyimak bersifat student centered. (3) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menyimak dan menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat antara siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran cerita berpasangan berbantuan media animasi audio visual, (4) terdapat pengaruh model cerita berpasangan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menyimak dan menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat yang dibuktikan nilai signifikansi dengan hasil uji beda rerata (T-Test) sebesar 0.000. Adapun hasil n-gain kemampuan menyimak cerita rakyat sebesar 0.55 yang berada dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan n-gain kemampuan menuliskan kembali cerita rakyat sebesar 0,68 yang berada dalam kategori sedang.
