Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode drill terhadap kemampuan mengucapkan kosakata anak down syndrome, dalam kemampuan pengucapan khususnya kosakata terdapat kesalahan bentuk bunyi bahasa dikarenakan hambatan kecerdasan yang berkaitan dengan memori jangka pendek.. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Single Subject Research desain A-B-A. Peningkatan kemampuan pengucapan kosakata dapat diukur dengan kriteria pelafalan kosakata dengan jelas menggunakan rubrik penilaian pada setiap butir instrumen. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa intervensi yang diberikan mampu memberikan pengaruh berupa meningkatkanya kemampuan mengucapkan kosakata pada subjek L, yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan mean level dari setiap fase penelitian dan hasil analisis data yang diperoleh selama penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi guru di sekolah dan pengurus asrama dalam mengetahui perkembangan anak untuk dapat menerapkan intervensi berupa metode drill ini sebagai alternatif dalam program pengajaran. Impilikasinya, pengurus asrama perlu menambahkan materi-materi kosakata yang belum dikuasai oleh anak tetapi penting untuk dikuasai sebagai sarana komunikasi dengan orang-orang disekitarnya;---This study aims to determine the effect of the application of drill methods to the ability to pronounce the vocabulary of the child down syndrome, in the ability of pronunciation, especially the vocabulary there is a mistake of sound language due to the barriers of intelligence associated with short-term memory. This research used the method of Single Subject Research design A-B-A. Improved vocabulary skills can be measured by clear vocabulary criteria using the rating rubric on each instrument item. The results showed that the intervention was able to give the effect of improving the ability to pronounce vocabulary on the subject L, which is indicated by the increase of mean level of each research phase and the result of data analysis obtained during the research. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers in schools and boarding board in knowing the development of children to be able to apply the intervention in the form of drill method as an alternative in the teaching program. The implication is that the boarders need to add vocabulary materials that have not been mastered by children but it is important to be mastered as a means of communication with the people around them.
