Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa kelas V sekolah dasar (SD) SJD 7 Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika dengan model discovery learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menerapkan model Lewin menurut Elliot. Jumlah siswa dalam penelitian 27 orang, terdiri dari 12 perempuan dan 15 laki-laki. Penelitian berlangsung tiga siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes. Data hasil observasi di olah melalui reduksi data, klasifikasi data, display data, interpretasi data dan refleksi. Data hasil tes diolah dengan statistika rata-rata dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model discovery learning dalam mata pelajaran matematika perlu direncanakan dengan cermat agar berfungsi sebagai petunjuk teknis pembelajaran. Penerapan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan aktifitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SD SJD 7 Bandung. Dengan nilai rata-rata pada siklus I 66,1, siklus II 67,3, dan siklus III 80,6. ----- This research will be based in the background by the low activity of learning and critical thinking ability of mathematics grade V elementary school SJD 7 Bandung. The purpose of this research was to describe how learning planning, implementation and improvement of learning critical thinking ability of Mathematics by applying a model of discovery learning. The research method used is the class action research (CAR) by applying the model Lewin according to Elliot. The number of students in the study of 27 people, comprising 12 women and 15 men. Research progress of three cycles. Data collection was done through observation and tests. Observation on the results of sports data through the reduction of data, classification data, display data, interpretation data and reflection. Test results data processed with statistical averages and percentages. The results showed the application of discovery learning models in mathematical subjects need to be planned carefully in order to serve as a technical guide instruction. The application of discovery learning models can increase the activity of learning and critical thinking ability of students of class V SD SJD 7 Bandung. With the average rating on a cycle I 66.1, cycle II 67.3, and cycle III 80.6.
