Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan antara pendidikan matematika di Laos dan Indonesia mengenai kurikulum, sistem pendidikan, dan proses belajar dan mengajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif etnografi kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah menengah Veunkham, kota Saythany, ibu kota Vientiane, Laos dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 9 (SMP N 9), Jl. Semar No. 5. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Waktu penelitian di semester 2 tahun 2016/2017 tahun ajaran. Hasil 1) sistem pendidikan pembanding di Laos dan Indonesia memiliki pendidikan TK, pendidikan SD, pendidikan SMP, pendidikan SMA, pendidikan teknik dan kejuruan dan pelatihan, pendidikan kebutuhan khusus, pendidikan nonformal, pendidikan agama dan pendidikan tinggi; 2) kurikulum perbandingan di Laos dan Indonesia memiliki kurikulum pendidikan TK, kurikulum SD, kurikulum SMP, dan SMA; tapi Indonesia lebih satu kurikulum kurikulumnya adalah kurikulum SMK; 3) perbandingan pendidikan matematika (isi K-12) di Laos dan Indonesia; dan teori perbandingan dalam pendidikan matematika di sekolah menengah pertama di Laos dan Indonesia; Dan 4) perbandingan antara proses belajar dan mengajar matematika di sekolah menengah pertama di Laos dan Indonesia;--- The aim of this research is to comparison between mathematics educations in Laos and Indonesia about curriculum, system education, and process teaching and learning mathematics. This research is descriptive qualitative ethnography design. The subjects of this research are students of Veunkham secondary school, Saythany district, Vientiane capital, Laos and lower secondary school state 9 (Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 9: SMP N 9), Jl. Semar No. 5. The technique of collecting the data through observation, interview, and documentation. Research time in the second semester in 2016/2017 academic year. The result 1) the comparison system education in Laos and Indonesia had kindergarten education, primary education, lower secondary education, upper secondary education, technical and vocational education and training, special needs education, non-formal education, religious education and high education; 2) the comparison curriculum in Laos and Indonesia had curriculum kindergarten education, curriculum primary education, curriculum lower secondary education, and curriculum upper secondary education; but Indonesia more one curriculum education was curriculum vocational high education (SMK); 3) the comparison mathematics education (contents K-12) in Laos and Indonesia; and comparison theory in mathematics education in lower secondary school in Laos and Indonesia; and 4) comparison between teaching and learning process of mathematics in lower secondary school in Laos and Indonesia
