Abstract

Students are required to be able to apply, repeat, and more importantly do what has been input. Based on the results of preliminary study in one primary school (SD) in Bengkalis District, Understanding the concept of learners on learning IPS SD is still low. Students consider IPS as a memorizing subject and. This research is done to know the improvement of students' concept understanding by using Blended learning (face-to-face and e-learning), approach of Student-Achievement Division (STAD), Discussion and e-learning. Expriment with unequal pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that there was a difference between the expedition concept using the higher Blended Learning method and the control class using conventional method (lecture). Blended Learning method of learning can improve understanding of learners' concepts better in conventional methods.
