Abstract

Anak cerebral palsy merupakan anak yang mengalami kelayuhan atau kerusakan pada otak. Adanya kerusakan pada otak menyebabkan anak cerebral palsy mengalami kelainan fungsi motorik seperti kekakuan pada anggota gerak. Kekakuan pada anggota gerak terutama pada bagian tangan menyebabkan anak mengalami hambatan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari termasuk dalam kegiatan menulis. Menulis permulaan sering disebut juga dengan menulis dengan tangan. Menulis permulaan merupakan salah satu keterampilan awal yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa untuk menunjang proses belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan finger painting terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis permulaan anak cerebral palsy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian eksperimen dengan subjek tunggal atau Single Subject Research (SSR). Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah A-B-A dengan subjek berjumlah satu orang yang merupakan siswa kelas II SDLB di SLB D YPAC Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menulis permulaan pada anak cerebral palsy melalui latihan finger painting dibuktikan dengan adanya perubahan mean level aspek menjiplak dari kondisi baseline-1 (A-1) yaitu 33,3 menjadi 38,07 pada kondisi intervensi dan pada kondisi baseline-2 meningkat menjadi 46,26. Mean level pada aspek menebalkan juga menunjukkan perubahan dari kondisi baseline-1 yaitu 33,3 menjadi 37, 67 pada kondisi intervensi dan pada kondisi baseline-2 meningkat menjadi 46,26. Aspek mencontoh huruf juga nampak mengalami perubahan mean level dari kondisi baseline-1 yaitu 33,3 menjadi 37, 28 pada kondisi intervensi dan pada kondisi baseline-2 meningkat menjadi 45,33. Dengan demikian finger painting dapat dijadikan salah satu latihan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis permulaan bagi anak cerebral palsy.---- The cerebral palsy children are children suffering a brain malfunction or damage. The presence of brain damage causes the cerebral palsy children to have an abnormal motoric function, such as a stiffness in the limbs. This stiffness in the limbs, especially on the hands causes the children to undergo the obstacles in their daily activities, including in writing activities. In this regard, beginning writing is frequently referred to as a writing activity using hands. In addition, beginning writing is considered as one of the earliest skills that should be possessed by the students in order to support their learning process. This study aims at determining the impact of finger painting exercise on improving the beginning writing ability of the cerebral palsy children. The research method employed in this present study was an experimental research method using single subject or Single Subject Research (SSR). With respect to the research design, this study employed an A-B-A research design involving the subject, consisting of a second grade student from the SDLB at SLB D YPAC Bandung. The results on this study showed that there was an increase in terms of the beginning writing ability of cerebral palsy children through finger painting practices. In fact, it is proven that there was a shift of the level mean of the tracing aspects from baseline-1 condition (A-1), namely 33,3 into 38,07 under the intervention condition and on the baseline- 2, there was an increase reaching 46.26. The mean level on the aspect of thickening letter also underwent a shift from the baseline-1 condition, namely 33.3 into 37, 67 under the intervention condition and at baseline-2 condition, the increase reached 46.26. In regard to the aspects of tracing letters, there was also a shift in terms of the mean level of the baseline-1 condition, namely 33.3 into 37.28 under the intervention condition and at baseline-2 condition, the increase reached 45.33. As a result, this finger painting can be on of exercise to improve the beginning writing ability of the cerebral palsy children.
