Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul "Desain Didaktis Unsur-unsur dan Luas Permukaan Prisma di Sekolah Menengah Pertama" didasari oleh penemuan masalah mengenai learning obstacle siswa dalam memahami konsep dasar dari prisma, yaitu unsur-unsur prisma yang mengakibatkan learning obstacle lain pada konsep luas permukaan pada prisma. Oleh karena itu, dibuat desain didaktis dengan memperhatikan learning obstacle dan learning trajectory yang diimplementasikan terhadap siswa kelas VIII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian sebelum implementasi lesson design diperoleh respon bermacam-macam. Kekurangan siswa banyak terlihat pada jawaban mengenai pengertian prisma dan luas permukaan prisma. Kemudian, setelah diberikan lesson design ini kemampuan memberikan pengertian unsur-unsur dan luas permukaan sudah hampir dicapai. Kekurangan yang ditemukan pada pengertian dan luas permukaan prisma adalah siswa lupa pengertian dari kekongruenan. Selain itu, dari hasil implementasi juga ditemukan bahwa kemampuan geometri siswa yang masih kurang dalam mengamati prisma. Sehingga perlu adanya desain didaktis revisi untuk membantu kemampuan geometri siswa.;--- The study, entitled "Dictitical Design of Elements and Surface Area of Prism in Junior High School", was based on the discovery of problems concerning learning obstacle of students in understanding the basic concepts of prism which were the elements, and that result in other learning obstacle on the concept of surface area of prism. Therefore, it was made didactical design by observing the learning obstacle and learning trajectory which was implemented to the students of class VIII in Junior High School. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection technique through observation, interview, and documentation study. Before implementation of lesson study, the research results obtained various responses. The student deficiencies are often seen in the answers to the meaning and surface area of prisms. After implementation, the ability to provide understanding of the elements and surface area has almost been achieved. The deficiencies of meaning and surface area of the prism are found on the students which forget about meaning of congruences. In addition, the results of the implementation also found that students still have less of a view on geometry in observing the prism. So there is a need for a revised didactical design to help students geometric abilities.
