Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masalah gizi pada remaja yang disebabkan karena perilaku makan yang buruk dan pemahaman gizi yang keliru. Siswa SMA termasuk remaja yang mempunyai karakteristik tertentu yaitu sudah mengenal pengetahuan gizi yang bisa didapat dari sekolah maupun lingkungan luar seperti melalui media elektronik dan media masa maupun dari orang lain yang memberikan informasi tentang pengetahuan gizi. Siswa diharapkan dapat menerapkan pengetahuan gizi tersebut ke dalam perilaku makannya sehari-hari agar memenuhi kecukupan gizi yang dianjurkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan gizi dan perilaku makan siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis data statistik inferensial. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa SMAN 8 Tasikmalaya kelas XII Program Imu Pengetahuan Alam sebanyak 194 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan berupa simple random sampling. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan, total sampel adalah sebanyak 50 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pengetahuan gizi dan Food Recall 1x24 jam. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata (67%) pengetahuan gizi siswa berada di kategori baik, sedangkan tingkat pemenuhan energi responden termasuk dalam kategori defisit tingkat sedang (75%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai r hitung yaitu 0,072, maka diketahui r hitung < 1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa H_a diterima, artinya ada hubungan yang sangat rendah antara pengetahuan gizi dan perilaku makan pada siswa di SMAN 8 Tasikmalaya. ;--- This research is based on nutrition problem in adolescent are caused by bad meal behaviour and misconceptions of nutrition. High school students include in teenagers who have characteristics that already know the nutrition knowledge that can be obtained from schools and the environment such as through electronic media and mass media and from peoples who give information about nutrition knowledge. Students are expected to apply these nutritional knowledge into their daily meal behavior to fulfill adequate nutrition advocated. This research was conducted with the aim description of nutritional knowledge and meal behavior of student. The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach and analysis of inferential statistical data. The research population is the students of SMAN 8 Tasikmalaya XII SAINS Program as much as 194 students. The sampling technique used in simple random sampling. After the calculation, total of samples is 50 students. An instrument used in research is test knowledge about nutrition and interview questionnaire form food recall 24 hours. The results of descriptive analysis indicate that the average (67%) of students' nutritional knowledge is in good category, while the level of energy fulfillment of respondents included in the category of medium-level deficit (75%). The result of the research shows that the value of r arithmetic is 0,072, known r count <1. Based on the result of research it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, it means there is a very low relation between nutrition knowledge and meal behavior for students of SMAN 8 Tasikmalaya
