Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa SMP berdasarkan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada bab segiempat. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui indikator-indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang masih belum tercapai serta mengetahui hal-hal yang menyebabkan hasil yang diperoleh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian dilakukan dengan mengujikan soal tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika pada bab segiempat kepada siswa. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah suatu kelompok siswa SMP kelas VIII di kota Bandung. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP pada bab segiempat masih rendah. Analisis berdasarkan pada penskoran jawaban siswa, ketercapaian indikator serta penyebab rendahnya hasil skor siswa dalam mengerjakan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa masih tergolong rendah, indikator-indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika belum tercapai. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya motivasi siswa yang rendah.;---The objectives of this study is to determine the creative thinking in mathematics in junior high school student . In addition, this study also analyze creative thinking’s indicators. This research used qualitative descriptive as the methodology, the research carried out by testing and scoring the creative thinking test question. Subject of the study is conducted by random sampling. The result of the study revealed that the percentage of student’s achievement still in the low level. The analysis showed that creative thinking achievement still in low level. In material content, change and relationship is still in the low level and the occupation context also in the low level. The analysis based on scoring of student’s answer and the variable that affects student’s error in doing the creative thinking test. Mostly, creative thinking indicators still not achieved. This is because of internal and external factors.
