Abstract

Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah diketahui tingkat pengangguran terbuka berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan di dominasi oleh lulusan SMK. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan oleh penulis, permasalahan ini juga ditemukan pada SMKN 8 Kota Bandung program keahlian Teknik Perbaikan Bodi Otomotif. Jumlah lulusan yang bekerja masih rendah dan penyerapan lulusan yang belum mencapai pada persentase ideal. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, mengetahui gambaran kesiapan kerja peserta didik SMKN 8 Bandung untuk menghadapi dunia kerja yang sesuai dengan bidang keahliannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII program keahlian Teknik Perbaikan Bodi Otomotif SMKN 8 Kota Bandung dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode non probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh gambaran kesiapan kerja bahwa: Berdasarkan aspek pemahaman, sebagian besar peserta didik memiliki kesiapan kerja dan termasuk pada kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan aspek pengetahuan, sebagian besar peserta didik memiliki kesiapan kerja dan termasuk pada kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan aspek keterampilan, lebih dari setengahnya peserta didik memiliki kesiapan kerja dan termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan aspek kepribadian. sebagian besar peserta didik memiliki kesiapan kerja dan termasuk pada kategori sangat tinggi. Sementara itu, untuk persentase keseluruhan menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik memiliki kesiapan kerja yang sangat tinggi berdasarkan pada empat aspek yang mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja. ;--- The problem in this research is given the unemployment rate based on the level of education in the dominance of by vocational high school, Based on the results of the observations conducted by the author, this also found in SMKN 8 Bandung program expertise the improvement of the body automotive. The number of graduates who work is still low and the absorption of graduates who have not reached on the percentage of ideal. Therefore this study aims to find a explanation of the readiness working of students SMKN 8 Bandung to counter the world of work in accordance with the field of expertise. The study is using the method of descriptive approach the applicability and techniques of collecting data using the questionnaire. The population in this study are educated class XII of the engineering improvement of the body automotif SMKN 8 Bandung and the sampling using the method of non probability sampling of the purposive sampling. Based on the results obtained by the readiness of that: Based on the understanding, most learners have a readiness to work and included in the category of very high. Based on the knowledge, most learners have a readiness to work and included in the category of very high. Based on the skill, more than half of students have the readiness of the work and including in the high. Based on aspects of personality, most learners have a readiness to work and included in the category of very high. In the meantime, for the percentage of overall that the most of the students have the readiness of the work higher based on four aspects that effect the readiness of the work.
