Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecemburuan dan romantic beliefs terhadap kepuasan hubungan pada dewasa awal yang menjalin hubungan jauh di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 300 dewasa awal 20-28 tahun yang menjalin hubungan jauh.di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Multidimentional Jealousy Scale (MJS) untuk mengukur kecemburuan, Romantic Beliefs Scale (RBS) untuk mengukur romantic beliefs dan Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) untuk mengukur kepuasan hubungan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat pengaruh kecemburuan terhadap kepuasan hubungan. Selain itu juga terdapat pengaruh romantic beliefs terhadap kepuasan hubungan dan terdapat pengaruh kecemburuan dan romantic beliefs terhadap kepuasan hubungan. Selain itu terdapat temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat, kepuasan hubungan kecemburuan dan romantic beliefs antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Kemudian tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat kepuasan hubungan, kecemburuan dan romantic beliefs berdasarkan intensitas pertemuan. Dewasa awal yang menjalin hubungan jarak jauh di Kota Bandung didominasi oleh kecemburuan dimensi kognitif (misalnya rasa curiga) dan dewasa awal yang menjalin hubungan jarak jauh di Kota Bandung didominasi oleh romantic beliefs dimensi idealization (melihat pasangan/cinta sejati sebagai suatu kesempurnaan).------------ This study aims to determine the influence of jealousy and romantic beliefs on the satisfaction of relationships in early adults who have a long-distance relationship in Bandung. The method used is a quantitative method, the research sample is 300 early adults 20-28 years old who have a long-distance relationship in Bandung. The instrument used in this study is Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS) to measure jealousy, Romantic Beliefs Scale (RBS) to measure romantic beliefs and Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) to measure relationship satisfaction. Data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The results show there is an influence of jealousy on relationship satisfaction, is also known that there is an influence of romantic beliefs on relationship satisfaction and there is an influence of jealousy and romantic beliefs towards relationship satisfaction. In addition, there are findings in this study that shows no difference in the level of relationship satisfaction, jealousy and romantic beliefs between men and women. There is also no difference in the degree of relationship satisfaction, jealousy and romantic beliefs based on the intensity of the meeting. The early adult who has a long-distance relationship in Bandung is dominated by jealousy of cognitive dimension (eg suspicion) and dominated by romantic beliefs dimension idealization (eg see the couple / true love as a perfection).
