Abstract

Tesis ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji refleksi para peneliti yang melibatkan anak usia dini dalam memberikan perlindungan dan pemenuhan hak anak. Pelibatan penelitian dengan anak usia dini dewasa kini telah banyak dilakukan dan penelitian dengan melibatkan anak usia dini rentan pada bentuk eksploitasi anak. Meski Indonesia telah memiliki Undang-undang Perlindungan Anak yang artinya pemerintah bertanggungjawab pada seluruh aspek kehidupan anak termasuk keterlibatan anak dalam penelitian, namun sayang belum memiliki pedoman penelitian dengan melibatkan anak yang mengatur prosedur penelitian secara rinci. Untuk memahami permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, peneliti membangun landasan teori dengan konstruksi hak anak dan bagaimana hak anak itu dalam pandangan Indonesia, karena bagaimanapun bentuk pemenuhan hak anak serta perlindungan anak dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sosial budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini 5 orang, data yang dikumpulkan dari wawancara, catatan partisipan, dan BAB metodologi skripsi para partisipan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan Analisis Fenomenologis Interpretatif (AFI). Hasil penelitian menyajikan temuan-temuan yang menunjukkan bagaimana para partisipan memandang hak anak, gambaran bentuk partisipasi anak dalam penelitian, dan kesetaraan relasi kekuasaan yang dilakukan partisipan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini ialah bahwa para partisipan mengakui tidak terlalu memahami hak anak dalam penelitian sehingga mempengaruhi tindakan partisipan dalam melakukan penelitian dengan anak, namun ketidakpahaman tersebut tentu karena para partisipan tidak mendapatkan pendidikan terkait etika penelitian. Sehingga perlu dipertimbangkan dalam perkuliahan menambahkan materi terkait etika penelitian yang melibatkan anak usia dini, atau lembaga pemerintah maupun pendidikan tinggi membuat pedoman penelitian yang melibatkan manusia khususnya anak usia dini. Kata Kunci : etika penelitian, anak usia dini, hak anak, fenomenologi, This thesis is aimed to examine the reflection of the researchers who involve early children in providing protection and fulfilling children's rights. The early children involvement in research has been widely conducted yet it still has the risk of exploiting children. Although Indonesia already has a Child Protection Act, which means that the government is responsible for all aspects of the life of children including their involvement in the research. Unfortunately, it has no research guidelines about the involvement of the children that set the detailed research procedures. To understand the problems in this research, the researcher builds the theoretical foundation with the construction of children's rights and how the right of the child is in the view of Indonesia because after all the forms of child right fulfilment and child protection are influenced by the socio-cultural environment. This research uses the qualitative approach with phenomenology design. Participants involved in this research were five people. The data were collected using interviews, participant notes, and the participants’ research reports especially the methodology chapter. The data were then analysed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (AFI). It is revealed the participants’ perspectives about child rights, children participation in their research, and the equality of power relation that is tried to realize by the participants. It is concluded that the participants admitted that they do not really understanding about the child rights in research so that it influences the participants' actions in conducting the research with children as their participants, but the misunderstanding is certainly because the participants did not get ethical-related research education. Therefore, it is necessary to consider in the higher education to insert the materials related to research ethics involving early childhood, or government agencies and higher education to create the research guidelines that involve humans especially early childhood as participants.
