Abstract
P enelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek penerapan DEEPER Saffolding
Framework terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada materi
alat optik. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen. Sampel
penelitian adalah siswa kelas 8 semester 2 tahun ajaran pada salah satu MTs Negeri di
Kabupaten Kediri. Pengumpulan data melalui tes kemampuan kognitif dalam bentuk
essay dan tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif dalam bentuk essay open-ended dan instrumen
non tes. Berdasarkan analisis data, didapatkan bahwa nilai N-gain kemampuan kognitif
sebesar 0,66 nilai N-gain keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebesar 0,63 dengan kategori
sedang. Pengujian menggunakan effect size didapatkan pembelajaran DEEPER Saffolding
Framework berdapak besar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan
berpikir kreatif.----------This study aims to determine the effect of the application of DEEPER Scaffolding
Framework on the cognitive abilities and creative thinking skills in optical instruments.
This research using one group as an experiment class. Samples were students of class 8
membership 2nd semester 2016/2017 academic year in one of MTs in Kediri. The
collection of data through the test’s cognitive abilities in the form of essay test, and
creative thinking skills in the form of open ended essay test and non test instruments.
Based on analysis data, it was found that the N-gain value of cognitive abilities was 0,66
and N-gain value of creative thinking skills was 0,63 with medium category. Test using
the effect size of learning DEEPER Scaffolding Framework have a major impact to
improve cognitive abilities and creative thinking skills.
