Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap motivasi belajar dan implikasinya pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya hasil belajar peserta didik yang rendah untuk mata pelajaran ekonomi yang dilihat dari nilai UAS (Ulangan Akhir Semester) Semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang rata-ratanya tidak memenuhi KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) pada peserta didik kelas X dan XI IIS di SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode survey dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat pengumpul data berdasarkan kuisioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 212 peserta didik kelas X dan XI IIS SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya kemudian menggunakan teknik random sampling dan menghasilkan sampel sebanyak 139 Peserta didik yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis). Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) secara umum kompetensi guru, motivasi belajar, dan hasil belajar berada pada kategori tinggi; (2) kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik; (3) kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar; (4) dan motivasi belajar tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Kompetensi Guru, Motivasi Belajar, Hasil Belajar, This study aims: to determine the effect of teacher competence on learning motivation and its implications on learning outcomes. The main problem of this research is the final value (mark) for the final exam of economic subject at the end of semester of the student's grade 10 and 11 at two senior High School, isn't suited with its KKM (the minimum value of its subject). The method in this research is explanatory survey and using a questionnaire to collecting data. Those objects are 212 students at social class grade 10 and 11, then apply the random sampling method and gain 139 students has been respondents. The method of analyze its data is path analysis. The findings of the study indicate that: (1) in general teacher competence, learning motivation, and learning outcomes are in high category; (2) the competence of teachers have a positive effect on student learning motivation; (3) teacher competence has a positive effect on learning outcomes;(4) and student learning motivation has no effect on student learning outcomes.
