Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya percaya diri siswa yang terjadi pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya yaitu kegiatan pembelajaran guru kurang memberikan stimulus untuk meningkatkan percaya diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mencoba memperbaiki proses kegiatan pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan percaya diri siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS). Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV (empat) di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Kota Bandung, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 19 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang mengadaptasi model Kemmis dan Taggart, yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi guru dan siswa, lembar indikator kemampuan percaya diri dan lembar kerja siswa untuk mengukur peningkatan percaya diri siswa. Terdapat peningkatan percaya diri siswa setelah proses pelaksanaan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS). Hal ini diindikasikan dari meningkatnya aspek kognitif, emosional positif dan performance. Aspek kognitif pada siklus I sebesar 58% dan pada siklus II mencapai 88%. Aspek emosional positif pada siklus I sebesar 59% dan pada siklus II mencapai 90%. Aspek performance pada siklus I sebesar 70% dan pada siklus II mencapai 93%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) dapat meningkatkan percaya diri siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.----------This research was motivated by the low confidence of fourth grader in elementary school. One of the contributing factors was teacher that giving less stimulus to improve the students' self confidence in learning activity. Thus, this research aimed to improve the process in learning activity to improve students’ self-confidence through cooperative learning by using Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) type. The participant of this research were 19 students of the fourth grader in one of Elementary School in Bandung. The research method used in this research was Classroom Action Research by using Spiral model by Kemmis and Mc.Taggart that consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection.This research conducted through two cycles. Instruments used in this study were teacher and student observation sheets, indicator sheets of self-confidence skill, and student worksheets to measure students' self-confidence. There is an improvement in students' confidence after the implementation of cooperative learning by using Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS). The research achievement is seen from the improvement of cognitive, positive emotional, and performance aspect. The cognitive aspect in the first cycle reached 58% and on the second cycle reached 88%. Positive emotional aspects in the first cycle reached 59% and on the second cycle reached 90%. Performance in the first cycle reached 70% and in the second cycle reached 93%. Based on the results, this study can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning by using Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) can improve students' confidence of fourth grader in elementary school.
