Abstract

Terdapat dua unsur gitar yang dapat dieksplorasi oleh seniman, yakni audio dan visual. Namun seringnya dari segi audio,dan berbeda halnya secaravisual yang masih terasa jarang. Maka dari itu penulis tertarik untuk mengolah visual gitar berdasarkan teoriseni dan fakta yang terjadi sehingga saling berkesesuian. Dewasa ini terdapat masalah yang begitu pelik dan mendasar hingga menjadi keresahan penulis di era modern ini, salah satu penyebabnya yaitu penerapan individualisme yang cenderung berdampak negatif sehingga menimbulkan sifat-sifat buruk lain seperti egoisme, dan keserakahan. Terjadikesenjangan sosial akibat pemahaman mencari keuntungan pribadi, salah satu contoh faktanya adalah kasus korupsi, dengan total 400 kasus pada tahun 2006-2015, dan pada tahun 2016 tercatat sekitar 7.270 pengaduan masyarakat. Berdasarkan uraian diatas munculah gagasan penulis dalam menciptakan karya patung gitar dengan keinginan mengembalikan spirit gaya kubisme. Adapun rumusan masalah yang terdapat dalam penciptaan ini adalah bagaimana konsep, proses pengerjaan, dan visualisasi karya seni patung kubisme dengan gitar sebagai gagasannya. Maka tujuannya adalah memaparkan konsep, proses pengerjaan, dan visualisasi karya seni patung kubisme dengan gitar sebagai gagasannya. Pembuatan patung gitar ini melalui beberapa tahap pengerjaan yakni menyiapkan alat dan bahan, penyerutan, pemotongan, menambal beberapa bagian permukaan, kemudian dihaluskan, dirakit dengan lem, hingga pada proses finishing. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik assembling, dengan menggunakan kayu pinus sebagai bahan utamanya. Visualisasi seni patung gitar dibuat sedemikian rupa dengan mengacu pada kaidah seni agar terdapat kesesuaian dengan nilai konseptual yang ingin disampaikan. Penulis berharap karya ini dapat bermanfaat dan menjadi inspirasi bagi pembacanya. Kata Kunci: gitar, seni, seni patung, kubisme, individualisme. There are two elements of guitar that can be explored by an artist, namely audio and visual. In one side, the use of audio is often found in this era, but, in the other side, the use of visual is still rare to find. Therefore, the writer is interested in processing visual guitar based on the theory of art and fact happened so that it could be associated. Recently, there is complicated and underlying problem that becomes fidgetiness for the writer in this modern era. One of causes is the application of individualism that tends to have negative impact so that results bad characteristics such as egoism and greed. Besides, a social discrepancy occurred as the result of comprehension in searching for individual profit, one of the facts is corruption case in which the total is 400 cases in 2006-2015. In 2016 it was recorded that there are about 7.270 society complaint. Based on the explanation above, it emerged the idea created by the writer that in creating guitar sculpture art by deporting a spirit of cubism style. In term of problem statement in this creation, the question is: how concept, working process, and visualization of cubism sculpture art work with the guitar as the idea. Thus, the purpose is explaining concept, working process, and visualization of cubism sculpture art work with the guitar as the idea. The making process of guitar sculpture is through some steps such as: preparing tools and materials, shaving, cutting, patching several parts of surface, and then smoothing, assembling with the glue, and finishing. Technique used is assembling techniques by using pine wood as the major material. Visualization of guitar sculpture art is made and refers to art principle in order that there is compatibility with conceptual value that is delivered. The writer hope that this creation can be useful and become inspiration for the reader. Keywords: guitar, art, sculpture, cubism, individualism.
